What a great post on the subject. I believe much the same. We've seen our problem areas, and they've largely gone unaddressed since 2011, with the exception of adding a running game, mainly Lacy, a proficient RB. Our run blocking on the OL is still very suspect, as if little has changed.

Defensively, we've set all time records for poor play in one area or another since winning SB XLV. That is really bad.

Both Ted and Mike are ultimately responsible for the growth or lack thereof in their personnel, and both have a responsibility to see that area of this team is progressing at an optimal level. If it isn't, then those areas should be addressed. Mike McCarthy needs to handle the staff issues. DC, Strength & Conditioning, STs and OL coaching have all had major issues for the last 3 seasons. If Mike won't handle it, then the responsibility falls on Ted.

As fans, we are just seeing what is wrong with this team, and hoping for a fix.

There are many reasons that I want Dom gone, but the biggest is because BJ Raji is not benched. BJ is noticeably dogging it out there and he is still playing. That kind of shit doesn't fly with me.

I think Ted Thompson has made an awful lot of great draft picks. I just see our coaching staff doing little to develop them as NFL players, moreless top performers.

Figure, our top NFL performers developed under Mike McCarthy include:

Aaron Rodgers
Jordy Nelson
Josh Sitton
Randall Cobb
Clay Matthews
Tramon Williams
Sam Shields

That is pretty much it. 7 players. And, this team hangs it's hat on "draft & develop!" wow. And I believe listing 7 of those players as being pretty generous. That is just 13% of the roster. If this doesn't speak to some of our larger problems, then I don't know what does. Look at all the talent that is deemed "unavailable," or listed on our IR. Attrition is a big culprit. But, so is what I consider to be subpar coaching, at DC, STs, OL, Strength & Conditioning and ultimately HC, for letting that slide for 3 years without doing anything to address the issues.

I firmly believe better coaching would give us a far different read on our overall talent, and our chances for success in GB.

It is his coaches that are failing to develop the players. I don't expect the HC or even the OC and DC to teach blocking fundamentals to the OL any more than I would expect them to teach a DB how to turn his hips and run with a receiver. That is what the position coaches job is. If they can't do it then someone else needs to be the position coach.

My list could actually be paired down to Rodgers, Nelson, Sitton and Matthews. 4 of the NFL's best players at their positions. So, now we're talking 7.5%…

Daryn Colledge and Brad Jones flat out suck. Worthy, Raji, and Burnett are following close behind. Bulaga? Can't be great if you can't get out of the tub. James Jones and TJ Lang are good players who have done well for this team, but top NFL performers? Not sure about that.
