It's gotta be stubbornness. How else to you explain the fact that Bush continually ends up with playing time at CB in the secondary?

Also Sherrod clearly is not ready to be given significant play time. The dude hasn't played in 2 years, you really think its the coaches being stubborn?

Wow. Allow me to rephrase.

A step above Lang AT THE CENTER POSITION.

Lang is playing great, at guard. Why get rid of a very good G in order to have a below average C? I say, keep the very good G and get a different below average C.

Anything to get Outhouse off the field is an improvement.

The whole line next year is looking great. It was great this year till Barclay got hurt.

Next year projected line?

LT: Bulaga

RG: Sitton

C: EDS

LG: Lang

RT: Bak

If we can find some backups for our interior guys I think we can have a pretty good line. Barclay and Sherrod should be the favorites to backup next year at each tackle postion. We find someone to backup Sitton and Lang we can be good to go. Don't know how Tretter will be at Center, but he could back there up too.

I don't think anyone here believes that bringing Lewis in is going to make this a Super Bowl team. Given the situation though - we don't have an actual center right now, unless a miracle recovery happens. The real problem with the OL is injuries have forced players to shuffle to positions that are not their strengths. Add in that Newhouse has been playing, and you have a disaster to put it mildly.

The point is, keep Lang at G, where he can actually get it done. Dude's playing at a high level, when he's at G. We need that. When he's at C he's not even as good as Patrick Lewis. lol

Not having a backup C is as bad as not having a backup QB imo.
