I think with that statement you should go do some homework and look up other teams injury history this season. Yes, every team deals with injuries but I am willing to bet that the Packers injuries are far beyond the injuries of other teams. Am I using this as an excuse to their losing? No, just an observation here.

Let's start with beginning of the season.
Bryan Bulaga at left tackle- OUT for season, torn ACL. Enter 4th round rookie, Bahktairi.

Week 1:
Morgan Burnett and Casey Hayward- OUT

Week 2:
Morgan Burnett and Casey Hayward- OUT
Eddie Lacy injured in game.

Week 3:
Eddie Lacy, John Kuhn, Morgan Burnett, Casey Hayward and Jarret Bush- OUT
Jermichael Finley and Randall Cobb injured in game.

Week 5:
Casey Hayward, Randall Cobb and James Starks- OUT

Week 6:
Casey Hayward, Brad Jones, Clay Matthews, Mike Neal, Randall Cobb and James Starks- OUT

Week 7:
Casey Hayward, Brad Jones, Clay Matthews, Mike Neal, Nick Perry, James Starks, Randall Cobb and James Jones- OUT
Jermichael Finley injured in game.

Week 8:
Jermichael Finley, James Jones, Randall Cobb, Clay Matthews, Nick Perry and Brad Jones- OUT

Week 9:
Clay Matthews, Nick Perry, Andy Mulumba, Jermichael Finley, Randall Cobb and James Jones- OUT
Aaron Rodgers and TJ Lang injured in game.

Week 10:
Aaron Rodgers, Jermichael Finley, Randall Cobb and Andy Mulumba- OUT
EDS, Don Barclay, Casey Hayward and Johnny Jolly injured in game.

Week 11:
Aaron Rodgers, Jermichael Finley, Randall Cobb, Don Barclay, Casey Hayward, Nick Perry and Sam Shields- OUT

That is a pretty ridiculous line of injuries right there and I think that would be hard to match. I added James Starks and Andy Mulumba because at the time of their injuries, they were receiving significant playing time because of either playing well or due to other injuries.

Without actually doing a side by side comparison of all teams like you did with the Packers it is a bit presumptuous to claim that the Packers have been hit by injuries harder than any other team. I'm not saying you are wrong, just that it may seem like we are hit harder just because we look at he Packers injury list every week. Do we scrutinize every other teams injury list week in and week out to see if we are at the top? I don't think so. If you do and can provide the evidence then good for you and please proceed. Even so I can see why we would think that we are hit harder every year. It sure seems like we are. I just get tired of the injury excuse even if there is a grain of truth to it.

That said I am getting a little tired of saying "when we get everyone back we will be looking great" It seems every year we look forward to training camp next year and some great battles because everyone will be healthy. Is it because we draft injury prone guys? Is it because our conditioning regimen sucks? I can't answer that. I don't know what the answer is but I am getting sick and tired of the question.

We didn't lose these last two (or three) games due to injuries.

We lost these games, because or OC and DC have their heads up their asses.

At some point the cumulative effect of multiple (good) players out cannot be overcome. COULD they have won a couple of games with all the guys out right now? Yes. My point is we don't lose any of these with the guys named above In the game.

Consistency. How you supposed to achieve this with all the shuffling of players?
Example:
We score a TD against the Giants to bring us back to 20-13.
The D finally steps up gets sacks and we get the ball back right away.
The comeback is on, right?
BOOM! Pick six. Game over.
We simply don't have the quality veteran players on the field to consistently make and prevent big plays for us.

Another example:
Shields is a late scratch. No one saw that one coming.
Compensate with Hyde. Did the best he could but Cruz gets targeted 11 times with 8 catches for over a 100 yds and a TD. NY went right after this matchup as well they should.

Jesus HC. When is enough ENOUGH? And when can it be said the injuries ARE the problem here.

On offense, stop running Lacy into a 9 man box. Stop throwing predictable passes into a 9 man box.

Tolzien was 6 for 6 on passes + 15 yards. That is in large part, because the NY defense was stacking the box. What's the whole point of having this running game? To draw down an extra guy (or two) into the box. So you can throw it over their heads.

Then when they drop back, you run the ball again.

Interceptions kill a game and if Tolzien, an unproven rookie, had his day with all that pressure we would have seen more picks. Nerdmann, I think you need to look beyond "their weaknesses" and look at ours due to injuries. He was 6 for 6 because we ran, because we only gave him 6 passes. If we wanted to just give up there, we would have gone by a Nerdmann playbook.

Tolzien is not Rodgers. Rodgers is an all-star MVP soon-to-be legend. Tolzien is a rookie that had played 3/4 of a game with no real experience. Learn the difference, son.

I will just say this. Each team has the same number of players on the field. Do your job!

I would agree with the story about not contributing but then again just like most other years Ted Thompson drafts guys that are injury prone or as soon as they get on the field they get injured. I think they need to do something with practices or even change strength coaches. I would also suggest hiring a yoga instructor for all the hamstring injuries.

Objective journalism and an opinion column are about as similar as the Bible and Playboy magazine.

I agree with so many of you above who note the time frame and injury challenges.

Personally I feel strongly the class of 2012, in three years will be looked on as one of Ted's gems.

Zero2Cool (7h) : sounds like Packers don't get good compensation, Jaire staying
dfosterf (10h) : Nobody coming up with a keep, but at x amount
dfosterf (10h) : Trade, cut or keep
dfosterf (12h) : that from Jaire
dfosterf (12h) : My guess is the Packers floated the concept of a reworked contract via his agent and agent got a f'
Zero2Cool (12h) : Yes, and that is why I think Rob worded it how he did. Rather than say "agent"
dfosterf (12h) : Same laws apply. Agent must present such an offer to Jaire. Cannot accept or reject without presenting it
Zero2Cool (12h) : I'm thinking that is why Rob worded it how he did.
dfosterf (12h) : The Packers can certainly still make the offer to the agent
dfosterf (12h) : Laws of agency and definition of fiduciary responsibility
dfosterf (12h) : Jaire is open to a reduced contract without Jaire's permission
dfosterf (12h) : The agent would arguably violate the law if he were to tell the Packers
Zero2Cool (12h) : That someone ... likely the agent.
Zero2Cool (12h) : So, Jaire has not been offered nor rejected a pay reduction, but someone says he'd decline.
Zero2Cool (12h) : Demovksy says t was direct communication with someone familiar with Jaire’s line of thinking at that moment.
Zero2Cool (13h) : Demovsky just replied to me a bit ago. Jaire hasn't said it.
dfosterf (14h) : Of course, that depends on the definition of "we"
dfosterf (14h) : We have been told that they haven't because he wouldn't accept it. I submit we don't know that
dfosterf (14h) : What is the downside in making a calculated reduced offer to Jaire?
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : Packers are receiving interest in Jaire Alexander but a trade is not imminent
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : Jalen Ramsey wants to be traded. He's never happy is he?
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : two 1sts in 2022 and two 2nd's in 2023 and 2024
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : Packers had fortunate last three drafts.
dfosterf (15-Apr) : I may have to move
dfosterf (15-Apr) : My wife just told the ancient Japanese sushi dude not enough rice under his fish
Zero2Cool (14-Apr) : I think a dozen is what I need
dfosterf (14-Apr) : Go fund me for this purpose just might work. A dozen nurses show up at 1265 to provide mental health assistance.
dfosterf (14-Apr) : Maybe send a crew of Angels to the Packers draft room on draft day.
Zero2Cool (14-Apr) : I am the Angel that gets visited.
dfosterf (14-Apr) : Visiting Angels has a pretty good reputation
Zero2Cool (14-Apr) : what
Martha Careful (14-Apr) : WINNING IT, not someone else losing it. The best victory though was re-uniting with his wife
Martha Careful (14-Apr) : The manner in which he won it was just amazing and wonderful. First blowing the lead then getting back, then blowing it. But ultimately
Zero2Cool (12-Apr) : I'm guessing since the thumb was broken, he wasn't feeling it.
dfosterf (10-Apr) : Looking for guidance. Not feeling the thumb.
Mucky Tundra (10-Apr) : If they knew about it or not
Mucky Tundra (10-Apr) : I don't recall that he did which is why I asked.
Zero2Cool (10-Apr) : Guessing they probably knew. Did he have cast or something on?
Mucky Tundra (10-Apr) : Did they know that at the time or was that something the realized afterwards?
Zero2Cool (9-Apr) : Van Ness played most of season with broken thumb
wpr (9-Apr) : yay
Zero2Cool (9-Apr) : Mark Murphy says Steelers likely to protect Packers game. Meaning, no Ireland
Zero2Cool (8-Apr) : Struggling to figure out what text editor options are needed and which are 'nice to have'
Mucky Tundra (8-Apr) : *CHOMP CHOMP CHOMP*
Zero2Cool (2-Apr) : WR who said he'd break Xavier Worthy 40 time...and ran slower than you
Mucky Tundra (2-Apr) : Who?
Zero2Cool (2-Apr) : Texas’ WR Isaiah Bond is scheduled to visit the Bills, Browns, Chiefs, Falcons, Packers and Titans starting next week.
Zero2Cool (2-Apr) : Spotting ball isn't changing, only measuring distance is, Which wasn't the issue.
Zero2Cool (2-Apr) : The spotting of the ball IS the issue. Not the chain gang.
Mucky Tundra (2-Apr) : Will there be a tracker on the ball or something?
