No kicker in the history of the NFL would have made that. Almost every player on the Bears team was in the backfield. I suppose he could have kicked it straight up into the air.

I still think he kicked it too low, but the reality is that there was a razor-thin margin of error on that play and we simply came out on the wrong side of that line.

With the way the Bears played tonight it should have never come down to a Game Winning kick anyway

I thought that last kick looked just as low as the other kick he missed, and it probably would've been a miss even if it wasn't blocked. The guy who blocked it didn't even get up in the air, although he did get a good push against our flimsy O-line.

After the game, Crosby was asked why he missed what would have been the game winning FG, his response:
"When I thought about it, I knew that if I made the kick, we would knock the Bears out of the playoffs. That would mean my kick would put the Vikings into the playoffs, and I just couldn't force myself to do that. So I kicked it low, and hoped one of the Bears would block it."

lmfao he said that!!! This guy is my frickin hero.

Come on, in his 1st NFL game he hit 3 out of 3 field goals, including one from over 50 yards and one game winner to win the game. He hit every field goal in the NFC Championship game. I mean this guy hits so many kicks right down the middle it's unbelievable. Have you ever noticed that? I blame McCarthy for not being aggressive and playing it safe both vs. Minnesota and vs. Chicago. In both scenarios, they had the time and the talent to go for the TD. I mean come on, 52 yards is no gimme, they should have been at least been 10 yards closer, and then the kick would have went right in. And tonight, they were going up a team who absolutely had to block it for dear life. I had a feeling the adrenaline was gonna kick in and they were gonna block it.

Remember when Jon Ryan had one bad game and we got rid of him. How did that work out? This guy is SUPER KICKER, and unless he starts missing a lot of kicks, he is here to stay.

Gopack......I made the Crosby statement up for fun.
Just trying to make some people laugh and not feel so bad for what has happened this season.
But i agree. Crosby is a good kicker. Everything that can go wrong for us this year has gone wrong. Just one of those weird years.

dfosterf (16-Apr) : that from Jaire
dfosterf (16-Apr) : My guess is the Packers floated the concept of a reworked contract via his agent and agent got a f'
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : Yes, and that is why I think Rob worded it how he did. Rather than say "agent"
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Same laws apply. Agent must present such an offer to Jaire. Cannot accept or reject without presenting it
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : I'm thinking that is why Rob worded it how he did.
dfosterf (16-Apr) : The Packers can certainly still make the offer to the agent
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Laws of agency and definition of fiduciary responsibility
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Jaire is open to a reduced contract without Jaire's permission
dfosterf (16-Apr) : The agent would arguably violate the law if he were to tell the Packers
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : That someone ... likely the agent.
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : So, Jaire has not been offered nor rejected a pay reduction, but someone says he'd decline.
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : Demovksy says t was direct communication with someone familiar with Jaire’s line of thinking at that moment.
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : Demovsky just replied to me a bit ago. Jaire hasn't said it.
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Of course, that depends on the definition of "we"
dfosterf (16-Apr) : We have been told that they haven't because he wouldn't accept it. I submit we don't know that
dfosterf (16-Apr) : What is the downside in making a calculated reduced offer to Jaire?
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : Packers are receiving interest in Jaire Alexander but a trade is not imminent
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : Jalen Ramsey wants to be traded. He's never happy is he?
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : two 1sts in 2022 and two 2nd's in 2023 and 2024
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : Packers had fortunate last three drafts.

dfosterf (14-Apr) : Maybe send a crew of Angels to the Packers draft room on draft day.
Zero2Cool (14-Apr) : I am the Angel that gets visited.
