That's because we had big leads.
When you have the lead, as we did in most of 2011, you can run. We pretty much dominated most games in regular season last year.

So, last year when we were 15-1 in the regular season and pretty much dominant in most games, when the games were close (within 😎 we basically maintained a 60/40% split.
I expected the spike up when behind by two scores, and the spike down when ahead by two scores.
Two things surprised me--McCarthy spiked up on Pass calls when we were tied, and he didn't when we were behind by 1-8. The down 1-8 percentage was the same as the up by 1-8 percentage. In any event, feel free to keep calling for a 60/40% pass/run split. I'm good with that, too, Zombie.
