Packers cut Hargrove, Herb Taylor, WR Andrew Brewer, S Micah Pellerin, and CB Dion Turner.

Good news for everyone wanting to see Taylor gone.

Apparently they can re-sign Hargove after week 8, he can fulfill his suspension even if he's not on a roster. Though I'm not sure he has shown enough to warrant a spot even then.

I think it was simple because Hargrove was looking bad in his very limited snaps... I don't think it had to do with political or money... just like the other guys cut haven't looked too good ether.

Just seems like a statement is being made, imo.

But I think some players might want to be suspended if they were paid suspension... less work for the same amount of money. I think the loss of money is the big thing for the players.

But there also have been reports that Hargrove has been getting "frustrated" in practice and might of had a "dust-up" with DL coach Mike Trgovac. (some of the article is edited out so some might go read it (if I linked it correctly)

Over the last week, Hargrove was clearly frustrated with his practice time. In one practice, he kicked his helmet after not getting any reps in the one-on-one pass rush drill.

New Orleans Saints linebacker Jonathan Vilma was suspended without pay for the entire 2012 season by the NFL, one of four players punished on Wednesday for participating in the team's cash-for-hits bounty system.

Defensive lineman Anthony Hargrove, now with the Green Bay Packers, was suspended for the first half of the 16-game season; Saints defensive end Will Smith was barred for the opening four games; and linebacker Scott Fujita, now with the Cleveland Browns, will miss the first three games. Like Vilma, they were suspended without pay.

ESPN

Zero can you show where it says the money was to be paid to the league? I vaguely remember seeing something like that a year or two ago but not about this incident.
