Well wouldn't you know it, McCarthy threw his headset in anger at the end of the Texans game. At least now I can sleep sound at night knowing he has some semblance of drive, fire, emotion, whatever you want to call it to win games.

Yeah, I noticed that too. But he threw down the headset long after the outcome of the game was no longer in question, so it was a pointless display of emotion. It would have been better placed earlier in the game.

Losing is an acquired taste, and this team's tastebuds are savoring the flavor. Personally, this smacks of a team that spent the off-season reading headlines and lofty predicitions, and played all in.

Pleanty of blame to go around, and no.....Brett Favre would not have made a difference this year. The defense is the prime culprit, followed closely by special teams......if I might use the word "special" in that description.

Gonna be some big changes this off-season, and it starts with Sanders and Stock. Mike McCarthy better make players aware.....because they clearly do not understand at this point.....that they are playing for their living.

Funny thing is, I didn't even watch the game yeasteray as I was taking care of my sweetie on her B-Day....but called a friend who saw it and described how I saw the cgame unfold in my mind' eye......sadly, I callled it to a tee.

Just bad football, being executed by players who clearly have shut down receiving the inputs of their coaching staff.....dumbest football I have ever seen played.

Players and/or coaches.. I agree.. any team that repeatedly makes the same mistakes over and over reeks of a disconnect between players and coaches..

One really has to wonder how the players really viewed this past offseason.. is there lingering effects in their minds.

No one can question how this team has rallied around Rodgers, so that isn't the point I am wondering.

I truly wonder how much disconnect there is between the coaching staff and players on this team.
Mike McCarthy has had a busy offseason, marriage, baby and more drama then all the soaps on the daytime can provide..

Add to it... Ted and Mike McCarthy are pretty locked down on these assistant coaches.. they have one interview a week and that is PR monitored.. speaks of a certain lack of trust... I wonder if that carries over into their coaching jobs as well.

I remember the mid 90's.. Fritz was very open and candid each week.. free to speak his mind, as well as other assistants.. not an overbearing organization that we are today..

We had a swagger about us.. today it is secretive.. like they are hiding things.. makes one wonder.

I don't think they're necessarily hiding anything; I think it's more that the media has an axe to grind against the current administration, and the reporters spend their entire interview periods blatantly trying to goad Green Bay players and staff into criticizing the direction the team has taken, further contributing to the hoopla and drama the media, like a pack of hyenas, has fomented. It makes sense to me that the organization has circled its wagons.

08... I would understand.. but this has been the marching orders from day one.

I don't necessarily think they are hiding anything.. but they have the telltale signs of a overbearing organization that lacks trust through the ranks..

That there.. derails more companies from reaching potential than most other things.. not allowing people to full fill their potential, buy into the cause and become proactive and involved than just care taking and following commands.

Not saying that describes the Packers organization.. but from the outside it doesn't look healthy. I know I am stretching the abyss.. but something seems off.. we went from a very open organization to completely shutdown..

We are a publicly owned franchise.. seems to be disconnected at this point.

But I care less I guess.. as long as we rebound.

beast (28m) : Also why do both NYC teams have absolutely horrible OL for over a decade?
beast (28m) : I wonder why the Jets always hire defensive coaches to be head coach
Zero2Cool (10h) : Still HC positions available out there. I wonder if Hafley pops up for one
Zero2Cool (10h) : Trent Baalke is out as the Jaguars GM.
dfosterf (12h) : Jeff Hafley would have been a better choice, fortunately they don't know that. Someone will figure that out next off season
Zero2Cool (13h) : Aaron Glenn Planning To Take Jets HC Job
dfosterf (14h) : Martha- C'est mon boulot! 😁
Zero2Cool (14h) : Thank you
wpr (14h) : Z, glad you are feeling better.
wpr (14h) : My son and D-I-L work for UM. It's a way to pick on them.
Zero2Cool (14h) : Thank you. I rarely get sick, and even more rarely sick to the point I can't work.
wpr (14h) : Beast- back to yesterday, I CAN say OSU your have been Michigan IF the odds of making the playoffs were more urgent.
dfosterf (14h) : Glad to hear you are feeling a bit better.
Zero2Cool (15h) : I've been near death ill last several days, finally feel less dead and site issues.
Zero2Cool (15h) : It is a big deal. This host is having issues. It's frustrating.
Martha Careful (15h) : just kidding...it was down
Martha Careful (15h) : you were blocked yesterday, due to a a recalcitrant demeanor yesterday in the penalty box for a recalcitrant demeanor
dfosterf (15h) : Was that site shutdown on your end or mine? No big deal, just curious
beast (21-Jan) : That way teams like Indiana and SMU don't make the conference championships by simply avoiding all the other good teams in their own confere
beast (21-Jan) : Also, with these "Super Conferences" instead of a single conference champion, have 4 teams make a Conference playoffs.
beast (21-Jan) : Also in college football, is a bye week a good or bad thing?
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : The tournament format was fine. Seeding could use some work.
beast (21-Jan) : You can't assume Ohio State would of won the Michigan game...
beast (21-Jan) : Rankings were 1) Oregon 2) Georgia 3) Texas 4) Penn State 5) Notre Dame 6) Ohio State, none of the rest mattered
wpr (21-Jan) : Texas, ND and OSU would have been fighting for the final 2 slots.
wpr (21-Jan) : Oregon and Georgia were locks. Without the luxury of extra playoff berths, Ohios St would have been more focused on Michigan game.
wpr (21-Jan) : Zero, no. If there were only 4 teams Ohio State would have been one of them. Boise St and ASU would not have been selected.
Zero2Cool (21-Jan) : So that was 7 vs 8, that means in BCS they never would made it?
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : A great game. Give ND credit for coming back, although I am please with the outcome.
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : FG to make it academic
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : and there's the dagger
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : ooooo 8 point game with 4 minutes to go!
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : ooooooooohhhhhh he missed!
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Ooooo that completion makes things VERY interesting
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Game not over yet
beast (21-Jan) : Oh yeah, Georgia starting quarterback season ending elbow injury
beast (21-Jan) : Sadly something happened to Georgia... they should be playing in this game against Ohio State
beast (21-Jan) : I thought Ohio State and Texas were both better than Notre Dame & Penn State
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Notre Lame getting rolled
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : Ohio State just got punched in the gut. Lets see how they respond
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Notre Lame vs the Luckeyes, bleh
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Oh snap!!!
Zero2Cool (21-Jan) : Even Stevie Wonder can see that.
Zero2Cool (21-Jan) : Nah, you see Lions OC leaving to be HC of Bears is directly related to Packers.
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : ohhhhhhh Zero is in TROUBLE
packerfanoutwest (21-Jan) : Zero, per your orders, check Bearshome, not packershome
Zero2Cool (20-Jan) : Then he'll land with another team and flourish.
Zero2Cool (20-Jan) : Ben going to Bears. He'll be out in 3 years.
Mucky Tundra (20-Jan) : what's so funny?
Zero2Cool (20-Jan) : BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
