I've been doing research on starting a business and inquiring with other businesses and I've learned quite a bit on why illegals are so attractive to hire over legals. Most will ignorantly say they are simply taking jobs legals don't want, but thing is, they often aren't offered so they don't know. Although, there is truth to the statement, just not as much as some imply.

Imagine if those illegals were taxed ... that alone should upset the legal tax paying person.
