Wells left for his big payday. That was out of our control. Those are the tough decisions a GM has to make, especially after he has assembled a championship winning team. You simply can't keep all of them together. Cliffy was a true warrior for such a long time. His play was slipping these past couple of seasons, moreso last year, and he couldn't get off the trainers table. Tough to have to make the call, but as a prudent GM, you make that call. Collins, that is a risk call, and again, I think it was the prudent call.
Now, look at all of those contracts. How much has Ted saved by making those tough calls? That is some big coin to be used to offset resigning Rodgers, Matthews, Raji and Jennings, among others. Losing Collins was sad, but this cap savings to GB will help our team. I hope like hell they keep him as a coach.
