Finland has never been a socialist country since we gained independence.

As for preserving rights, the US has steadily been stripping them away from you since 2001, and most of the people in your country seem to be completely oblivious to this.

I'm not saying it's not happening everywhere but still, it's kind of naive to think the ones who hold the power give a crap about the freedom of their people.

As for economic freedoms, we still got those. But us taxpayers get to bail out the major corporations (banks for instance) when they fail. Guess who gets to pay for that? So even with economic freedoms, that's with an asterisk.

So both are to blame.

But look at it this way. Let's say you were doing everything right. You never lied. You never fudged numbers. You paid your taxes on time. You made a budget and you stuck to it. Should you be bailing out the banks?
