Brett would then have to call on the Packer phone to ask... " Brad what in the sam hell is this garbage." 😉

I still say that when they go to make that bust Of Brett, they should put at least one arm on him, holding a bronzed cell-phone...I think that would spice up the HOF nicely.

Vikings... here is how you do it.

http://www.greenbaypressgazette.com/article/20081203/PKR01/81203169/1058

The Green Bay Packers rely on a training system that includes a close relationship between their players and the both the medical and strength-coaching staffs to keep players from getting suspended by the NFL for violating its steroid policy.

The NFL has had a recent rash of four-game suspensions for steroid-policy violations, including this week the denied appeal of six players who tested positive for a steroid-masking agent that was not listed among the products ingredients. Among the players suspended was the Minnesota Vikings defensive-tackle duo of Kevin Williams and Pat Williams, though they went to court on Wednesday and won an injunction to stay their suspension.

The Packers last suspension for violating the steroid policy is believed to be Jude Waddy, who was suspended four games at the end of 1998 and start of 99.

Id really put that under the category of continuing education and communication, McCarthy said Wednesday. I think its important for the players to have the relationship with the strength staff and the training staff. Theres conversation about different things that are out there, because ultimately youre responsible for what you put in your body. I think our departments do a very good job of that with our players.

Most NFL players take some form of supplements, and among the Packers players who most regularly can be seen adding them to his drinks in the locker room is linebacker Brandon Chillar.

Chillar said he began using supplements three years ago with the St. Louis Rams and clears them either with the Packers training staff or the NFLs player-accessible Web site that lists league-approved supplement brands.

Chillar said he takes only basic supplements, such as protein or carbohydrate mix.

I try to get a pure supplement, then youll be all right, he said. The stuff that gets you in trouble is the uppers that tries to get you going, I would imagine. Diuretics, same thing.

Chillar said hes been tested for steroids four or five times this season.

Yep.. not much of a response.. they are hung up on Goodell and the NFL is out to get them.. not all, but a good portion.

As I think Formo pointed out.. there little karma drama for laughing at us with Brett.

A VERY LARGE part of me wants to post over on P.P.O. some of the discoveries I have made as regards these star caps. I have a bunch of direct links to the discussions that the steroid users were having over the past year regarding the usefulness of this particular drug, along with more attempts by the media to pose these exact questions I have raised in this thread as to WHY they were taking them, what their lawyers were saying, etc. I sit in wonder as to how 8500 members of PPO never ask that question...my God, they are bringing up the relative size of media markets for the reasons for the suspension...you would THINK they might have some interest in the WHY for taking the pills in the first place.

IF I do post my findings...You will see the numero uno Viking fan message board go HYPER-BALLISTIC... I will have to run my skinny little butt back to friendly lines, with about 8500 little purple gnomes and/or their equivalents hot on my tail...

By God, I think I will... I'm not right, I admit it.....

Add another one to the list of suspended.. but at least he just bucked up and took it.

REPORT: TITANS VICKERSON GETS FOUR-GAME SUSPENSION
Posted by Michael David Smith on December 5, 2008, 12:56 p.m.

Through all the many reports about the NFL suspending players for using the banned diuretic bumetanide, the name of Tennessee Titans defensive tackle Kevin Vickerson never surfaced.

But now it has.

Jim Wyatt of the Tennessean is reporting that Vickerson is expected to serve a four-game suspension for testing positive for bumetanide. Per Wyatt, Vickerson at first wanted to appeal the suspension but has decided to serve it beginning on Sunday, which means hes done for the regular season but can return for the playoffs.

A judge is expected to rule today on whether five other players Vikings defensive linemen Pat Williams and Kevin Williams, Saints defensive linemen Charles Grant and Will Smith, and Saints running back Deuce McAllister must serve four-game suspensions for testing positive for bumetanide. But Vickerson has not been involved in that case.

Its not clear when Vickerson tested positive or how long he, the league and the Titans have known about the positive test, but the fact that were just learning about Vickersons suspension now shows that everyone involved actually followed the rules that require these matters to be kept confidential. That doesnt happen often enough.

1st shot across the bow--I just posted it---

holding back the proof until I get about 100 complainers

I am a sick sick man !

I waited until the news came down that the Federal Judge is reversing the suspensions, then posted it real quick-like. The reversal is so that he can review, not a loss by the NFL, btw.

Just reported a federal judge has blocked the nfl suspensions of the 5 diet pill users including the williams boys so they will finish out the year
Just Imagine this for the next 6-9 years. What a ride it will be 🙂 (PS, Zero should charge for this)
