don't they normally wait until after the superbowl to announce?

I wonder if one reason for the drops is that 🇦🇷 throws such a bullet. Brees has a really soft touch (which of course is easier to intercept as well).

Not saying one is better than the other. Just bringing this up.

My mistake, I missed it when you said total touchdowns including passing and rushing. I think you could make Drew Brees look less worthy if you included turnovers, not just interceptions while you're at it. Slant away!!

A sack is not a pressure, it is a sack for crying out loud! A pressure is flushing the QB out of the pocket. Unless we are changing definitions of common football terms. Which if we are, please cite the source so I can update my ass on the new "lingo".

Pressured - quarterback flushed out of the pocket
Hurried - quarterback threw the ball with defenders in his face
Sacked - quarterback tackled behind line of scrimmage

Does Webster have a dictionary on football terms or do we just make'em up to suit our statistical agenda? :)

There is a stat called Total QB Pressures. It includes Hurries, Sacks and Knockdowns. Sometimes it is referred to as Total QB Disruptions.

One more stat for you to memorize.

Tom Silverstein wrote a very reasoned, articulate article on why he cast his MVP vote for Aaron Rodgers over Drew Brees.

http://www.jsonline.com/sports/packers/tom-silverstein-why-rodgers-gets-my-vote-for-mvp-4p3lk9r-136636263.html?page=1# !page=1&viewAll=1&sort=oldestfirst

Something he doesn't talk about that Dan Patrick mentioned this morning is that the Saints have Darren Sproles, who finished this season with an NFL-record 2,696 all-purpose yards. The Packers don't have a weapon like that who can command several phases of the game.

Also, Aaron Rodgers is a threat to run, which Drew Brees most decidedly is not.

In what could be an early preview of MVP voting results, Rodgers has trumped Drew Brees in the All Pro voting, results of which were released today. Rodgers beat Brees 47.5 to 2.5 to be the 1st team all pro quarterback.

#1....ESPN's QBR rating is total crap....throw it out.

#2....14-2 or 15-1, The only other stat that matters.

MVP by unanimous vote....Aaron Rodgers, well probably not unanimous because some clown down New Orleans way will just have to give his vote to Breese.

Mucky Tundra (47m) : seems to me the 49ers should have traded Aiyuk when they had the chance
Mucky Tundra (48m) : if the Eagles get it down to the 1, do they Tush Push or give it to Barkley?
TheKanataThrilla (48m) : 49ers have a money problem if they want to sign their QB
Mucky Tundra (50m) : Wait for real? Didn't he just get an extension two years ago?
    Zero2Cool (52m) : 49ers gonna trade Deebo. Interesting
TheKanataThrilla (55m) : Replays always never seem to show the holdings
TheKanataThrilla (1h) : Great throw by Hurts
Mucky Tundra (1h) : Where Carter falls prey to bad off the field influences (to be clear, not saying he'd clip someone though)
Mucky Tundra (1h) : Had Carter not gone to Philly were they already had a lot of old college friends, he ends up in a similar spot to Aaron Hernandez
Mucky Tundra (1h) : I think some of his coaches told scouts to stay away
Mucky Tundra (1h) : the street racing incident+conditioning and motivation problems
beast (1h) : Then Carter was street racing, where the other car crashed and people died... and other teams were scared to pick Carter for some reason
beast (1h) : I think the Saints traded up, giving their next year 1st to the Eagles, and then they sucked and Eagles got the 10th overall pick
    packerfanoutwest (1h) : wtf Barkley?
TheKanataThrilla (1h) : Getting Carter and Nolan Smith in the first round in 2023 was pretty darn good
Mucky Tundra (1h) : for some reason i'm thinking of a draft where the Eagles where in the mid 20s and a top player fell all the way to them
TheKanataThrilla (1h) : I think so. I would need to look it up. Think it may have been Carolina's pick.
Mucky Tundra (1h) : i'm not sure who i'm thinking of now
Mucky Tundra (1h) : oh fuck me i messed that up
    Zero2Cool (1h) : Jordan Davis was 13th overall
    Zero2Cool (1h) : Carter was 9th overall
Zero2Cool (1h) : Eagles had 15th and 10th selections, moved to 13 and 9 to get Davis and Carter back to back
Zero2Cool (1h) : Eagles traded up for Carter, didn't they?
Mucky Tundra (1h) : Obviously he was a huge risk but getting a top 5 talent on the dline in the mid 20s is fortuitous
Mucky Tundra (1h) : Jalen Carter falling into their lap certainly helps
TheKanataThrilla (1h) : And we could only wish to have this type of D
TheKanataThrilla (1h) : It's not like Philly has had low draft picks, but has managed to get themselves a top notch pass rush. We spend so much draft capital of D
packerfanoutwest (1h) : another crap halftime show
TheKanataThrilla (1h) : I think it is over, but then I think of Atlanta and want Philly to go in with the same intensity in the second half
Mucky Tundra (2h) : And with a Pass Rush that might as well be on a milk cartoon and no Jaire
Martha Careful (2h) : I cant help but feel good about how well the Packers D played in Philly during the playoffs
Mucky Tundra (2h) : this game is over
Mucky Tundra (2h) : This might be the kill shot here
Mucky Tundra (2h) : oh that's such a bad penalty for KC after getting the 3rd down stop
TheKanataThrilla (2h) : Philly DL has come to play
TheKanataThrilla (2h) : Ceoper DeJean with the INT scored...bad memories of draft night
Mucky Tundra (2h) : ok scratch that
Mucky Tundra (2h) : Game feels like last years Super Bowl: 49ers started off in control, moved the ball well but didn't have much of a lead to show for it
TheKanataThrilla (2h) : KC jumped and they call it on Eagles. WTF refs
TheKanataThrilla (3h) : If he was offside why did you let him pop the QB?
TheKanataThrilla (3h) : I like that Eagles are controlling time of possession so far.
Mucky Tundra (3h) : If the Eagles are going to win, this is how they do it: jump all over the Chiefs and don't let it turn into a close one
TheKanataThrilla (3h) : Bad throw created that penalty.
TheKanataThrilla (3h) : Amazed Philly got that hit to the helmet call.
packerfanoutwest (3h) : refs just called an OPI,,,bullshit
    dhazer (4h) : final score Chefs 24 Eagles 21 Refs 3
Mucky Tundra (6h) : feels like it hurts everyone but starters
