Nagler has an interesting article about Arodge playing more cautiously with a lead in the second half.  I know these forums go through these phases where suddenly everyone has to agree with everyone and anyone who has a discordant view gets vilified, and I don't mean to go soft on you and start caving in under pressure to conform. But Nagler does make an interesting point here.
Maybe it's not that MM gets conservative. Maybe they're not going into a "lull," or whatever you want to call it, as much as they're just playing smart football, especially on the road.
I think Nagler makes a very interesting point here, and I think I agree with him if his observations are correct. I haven't gone back and rewatched games to be sure. Not sure I completely agree though. We'll see as the season goes on.

going conservative is certainly frustrating to fans (myself included) but the name of the game is to run the clock out. It isn't college where they try and run up the score to get a better standing in the polls.

I haven't noticed Rodgers being more conservative, but it's believable because I thought the play-calling in the second half of the win over the Rams was nearly identical to the play-calling in the first half. The same thing goes for the play-calling in the fourth quarter of the Vikings game--at least until the very end, of course, when they ran the ball six straight times because it was working.

There's advantages and disadvantages to playing conservative. When Starks keeps getting us 1st downs there is no reason to throw it. I think Mccarthy knows when and when not to be conservative.

The only game I've been irritated in because we have been too conservative is the Vikings game. I mean, in the end they got way too close. Should've put them away earlier. I don't know if it's because we ran way too much in the 3rd and the first half of the 4th but our offense was really stagnant at that point.

I'm fine with running the clock out for the win. But I don't like it when the Packers are being forced to punt the ball away while the other team is putting points up and having a chance to make a comeback.

Zero2Cool (18-Feb) : Issue should be solved, database cleaned and held strong working / meeting. Boom!
Zero2Cool (18-Feb) : It should be halted now.
Mucky Tundra (18-Feb) : usually spambots are trying to get traffic to shady websites filled with spyware; the two links being spammed were to the Packers website
Mucky Tundra (18-Feb) : you know when you put it that way combined with the links it was spamming (to the official Packers website)
Zero2Cool (18-Feb) : Yep. You can do that with holding down ENTER on a command in Console of browser
Mucky Tundra (18-Feb) : even with the rapid fire posts?
Zero2Cool (18-Feb) : I'm not certain it's a bot.
Mucky Tundra (18-Feb) : I've got to go to work soon which is a pity because I'm enthralled by this battle between the bot and Zero
Zero2Cool (18-Feb) : Yeah, I see what that did. Kind of funny.
Mucky Tundra (18-Feb) : now it's a link to Wes Hodkiezwicz mailbag
