This is kind of lame. I think it was stupid with his shoulder injury. He was just frustrated he threw an INT and didn't think. What's the upside to this versus pushing him out of bounds?

I would be 100X more impressed if he showed an ability to excel when playing from behind or in a close game.

So you would rather see him play it safe and just give them the 6 points when your still in the game? Now that is kind of lame.

I don't even know how to respond to this. Have you ever played football or even watched a game for that matter? There is more than one way to get someone of bounds than running your shoulder into them.

The way the CB was running down the sideline, and Rodgers was coming into him, he could have easily just pushed him out of bounds.

He made sure he got him out of bounds. What if he cut back? Then what?

His quotes in the article disagree with your theory that "he didn't think". He sized him up, saw he wasn't aware of him there, and dropped him. And the last thing I want to see is our guys playing without heart.

Pushing him out of bounds would have worked just fine.

And it would have been the smart thing to do, rather than hitting him with your recently-injured throwing shoulder. How many of us would be saying, "You da man, Aaron! Nice hit!" if he'd knocked himself out of a couple of games?

I like the matchup I had, Rodgers said. I felt good about it. I knew I was bigger than him and he didnt see me until about the last minute. I thought he might cut back on me. I wish I had just full speed hit him even harder.

He deals with worse contact a couple times a game. And a big hit could've done anything, from pumping up the inept defense to causing a fumble out of the endzone.

I just want to know if he would've tried the same thing if it was a 265 llb linebacker instead of a little cb? He did it all out of frustration and then tried to make himself to look good by saying he sized him up. The chosen one maybe should worry about not playing like shit since his contract extension instead of bragging up a hit on a little guy after he messed up.
Just Imagine this for the next 6-9 years. What a ride it will be šŸ™‚ (PS, Zero should charge for this)

I liked the hit, sure he coulda pushed him outta bounds but its football, take out your frustration on the field. If more QBs had the chance im sure they'd take the hit over pushing a guy outta bounds. I give Rodgers props for the hit.

totally agree.

this is a total puff piece. congratulating a QB on a play where he threw a pick is pretty weak.

as far as the tackle goes, i loved it and hated it. if he would've tweaked something during the hit we would all be furious with him right now.

it was a nice hit though.

"also, the Saints are gay. "

Not that there's anything wrong with that.

IMHO MM panicked when The Pack got down by 10 points, the run game was working fairly well, a couple of long sustained drives resulting in points would have kept Brees off the field and The Packers in the game.

Trying to win a shoot-out when Drew Brees was obviously at his best was a big mistake and the final score showed it.

Live and learn, Packers took a good ole but whippin', how they come back from that is going to tell a whole lot about the character of this team.
I was addicted to The Hokey Pokey, but I turned myself around!
