Obviously any team can beat any other team in the NFL each week. That said, this is a game the Packers should put away without much trouble. Barring a crazy streak of penalties, injury, or terrible officiating, I think the Packers win this game. I won't say it's going to be a blow out, but I do think if the Packers don't exert their dominance it'll be a head scratcher.
The Packers D is full of guys who are not easily confused by offensive looks and, correct me if I'm wrong, I don't think the Panthers are going to be giving Newton very sophisticated schemes. He certainly won't have many options at the line. The Packers D is going to be his real introduction to the world of NFL football. As far as the Panthers WRs go, Steve Smith is a great athlete, but the Packers are not facing a multiple WR threat like they did against the Saints. That said, I expect at least one interception in this game if not two. Come to think of it, let's go ahead and set the over under at two.
I expect the Packers offense to come out as quick as it did against the Saints. My father-in-law has NFL Redzone. I watched football all day with him on Sunday, and the biggest impression I got from the games was how slow most teams in the NFL are in their game tempo. The Packers are QUICK! I don't think other teams can keep up. I was also counting the blessing that Rodgers is to Green Bay. He makes almost everyone else look like lame ducks, even the guys who had good performances on Sunday.
