I had troubles having Gordy make the roster. I think he's someone who gets replaced by another teams castoff.

Stick with the system... if you wouldn't do it in a normal year then why do it now? They didn't break themselves apart so now the coaches have a hard choice to make. But that's why they get paid the big bucks... and you always want to try to keep the best players.




Schlauderaff got moved down to 3rd string OL, which I'm guessing is a bad sign for him making the 53 man roster. Seemed like 2nd string OL got the most action last night but 3rd string got some too. Dietrich-Smith, McDonald and Dominguez were on 2nd string on the inside.

From the little I have seen this preseason, I share the concerns about McDonald's pad level. Every time someone gets in his face, he seems to stand almost straight up as though he is intimidated by his opponent. An athlete's power comes from his legs, and a lineman who won't stay low is going to be overpowered and overmatched pretty easily. I don't see him starting this year, except in an emergency, in which case the season is probably over anyway.
