The 6th WR will not help our passing game. It may well help our ST game. It probably will help the passing game in 2012 and 2013.

I'm hoping they keep Bush as the 4th Safety, I dont really think Underwood or Levine have done anything to warrant a roster spot at this point, so maybe that saves another spot for an extra WE, TE or RB.

I think there's a good chance Johnson stays and we keep only 4 TE's.

Doesn't Raji short yardage and goal-line blocking ability along with the talent at TE kind of nullify Quinn's importants. Are we really going to cut loose a more talented player for a blocker? He's our Jimmy Kleinsasser - Stone hands Johnson.

The thing about zombieslayer is, he only believes what Mike McCarthy says when it supports his point, but if what Mike McCarthy says goes against, well ... here you can read for yourself.

Exactly.

You know what we should really do? We should tell our chess moves 4 moves in advance to our opponents. I think that's a great way to be good at chess.

I don't believe one word Mike and Dom say to the media. (Which is a GOOD thing. I don't want them telling the media ****).

You kind of have to read between the lines when 🇹🇹, 🇲🇲, or Dom talk to the media. When discussing something like TEs and FBs being interchangeable, I don't think that's giving away our game plan to the enemy. Or maybe it is. Maybe we have some weird trick plays and that was meant to confuse.

By the way, where's the Dom head? You got an Aaron head but no Dom head. Get on that, webmaster.

Where was one of the areas the 2010 Packers struggled with?

Short Yardage..

I think Quinn has a good shot at sticking for one primary reason.. short yardage situations in which in can come in and knock some snot around and a running back on his six.

He has a limited skill set, however he probably is the best upon the roster at laying a lead block down.. see Green's TD vs Cardinals in the preseason. Walled off the backer in his shoes.

IMO.. when you have as much talent as we have in terms of skill positions, you look for guys that can fill specific roles on your club. That is one.. and not even Crabtree can lay down a block like Quinn at this point. Williams, because of his height makes an interesting case to become a Hback type in the future.. one will exceptional receiving skills, but I don't think you can count on him as a blocker out of the backfield this soon.

Perception is where truth lies.

I don't think saying you want to stop the run first, nor announcing that you feel fullbacks and tight ends are interchangeable is giving away anything to anyone. Stopping the run is simply common sense going into any game plan. Will running buck wild win you a championship? I don't see that happening for a long time, however, it can help you win one game against a team full of solid corners.

As for Quinn Johnson, I had high hopes for him starting after or during his 2nd year, guess that's out the window.

I'm also thinking of that blowout loss to the Rams in the playoffs at the end of the 2001 season, when William Henderson got hurt early in the game and they had no other FB suited up. It hurt the offense.

Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : sounds like Packers don't get good compensation, Jaire staying
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Nobody coming up with a keep, but at x amount
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Trade, cut or keep
dfosterf (16-Apr) : that from Jaire
dfosterf (16-Apr) : My guess is the Packers floated the concept of a reworked contract via his agent and agent got a f'
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : Yes, and that is why I think Rob worded it how he did. Rather than say "agent"
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Same laws apply. Agent must present such an offer to Jaire. Cannot accept or reject without presenting it
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : I'm thinking that is why Rob worded it how he did.
dfosterf (16-Apr) : The Packers can certainly still make the offer to the agent
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Laws of agency and definition of fiduciary responsibility
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Jaire is open to a reduced contract without Jaire's permission
dfosterf (16-Apr) : The agent would arguably violate the law if he were to tell the Packers
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : That someone ... likely the agent.
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : So, Jaire has not been offered nor rejected a pay reduction, but someone says he'd decline.
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : Demovksy says t was direct communication with someone familiar with Jaire’s line of thinking at that moment.
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : Demovsky just replied to me a bit ago. Jaire hasn't said it.
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Of course, that depends on the definition of "we"
dfosterf (16-Apr) : We have been told that they haven't because he wouldn't accept it. I submit we don't know that
dfosterf (16-Apr) : What is the downside in making a calculated reduced offer to Jaire?
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : Packers are receiving interest in Jaire Alexander but a trade is not imminent
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : Jalen Ramsey wants to be traded. He's never happy is he?
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : two 1sts in 2022 and two 2nd's in 2023 and 2024
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : Packers had fortunate last three drafts.
dfosterf (15-Apr) : I may have to move
dfosterf (15-Apr) : My wife just told the ancient Japanese sushi dude not enough rice under his fish
Zero2Cool (14-Apr) : I think a dozen is what I need
dfosterf (14-Apr) : Go fund me for this purpose just might work. A dozen nurses show up at 1265 to provide mental health assistance.
dfosterf (14-Apr) : Maybe send a crew of Angels to the Packers draft room on draft day.
Zero2Cool (14-Apr) : I am the Angel that gets visited.
