I see finley getting around 30 catches for around 300 yards and 4 tds before another injury. and after that the team will become unstoppable again because Rodgers won't be forcing the ball to Finley :)

He didn't even need to throw for 4k last year. Why will he need to this year? We'll be nursing more leads and running the ball more, especially with the Grant/Starks committee.

The stat I want to see is 30+ TDs. I could care less about yards.

Certainly the TD number is more important. I don't think anyone would disagree with that. (at least no one who is as smart as you and I.) However he will get all those rotten yards while he is in route to racking up the TD's.

The "forcing to Finley" was maddening though, you have to admit. Anyway, I like these predictions. I'll take 'em. I'm not sold on Grant though. I have a weird feeling Starks might take his job somewhere during the season. Mark my words!

I agree with Twinkiegorilla.

FYI- I just looked at the passing stats for the last 5 years.

Only 1 QB has thrown for 30 or more TDs without also throwing for 4000 or more yards. Last year Mr Brady did so. In that time period there have been 15 QBs and 14 of them also had 4000 or more. Tommy was at 3900.

On the other side of the coin there have been 18 of the 33 QBs who threw for 4000 or more yards and had less than 30 TDs.

As I mentioned in my prior post, Aaron almost had the 4000 last year. By adding in the extra 6 quarters he is very likely to get both the yards and TDs this year.

WPR - Good point about the stats for TDs vs yards. OK, I take that back. He'll get his 4k yards. 🖐

Having a weapon that can be brought inside and is capable forcing them to match up a backer or safety... but also can be split out thus pulling that backer/safety into space. Thus forcing the defense either to adjust or allow Finley to go one on one with an inferior cover guy; and that isn't considered and important advantage and wrinkle that will drive and bust a lot of coverage schemes to crap.

Sometimes I think we forget that we were a a wildcard team and hardly dominated the entire season or played consistent for that matter. Sure we overcame injuries.. but even early we were a dominate team. My point the difference between losing and winning at this level isn't that great.. you take every advantage you can get and exploit the other team.

We are Superbowl champions.. but we are hardly a dominate consistent team that doesn't have room for improvement and growth.  I surely hope that we allow ourselves to be comfortable that we won it last year and we don't need to improve.. otherwise we will be on the outside looking in at the Superbowl next season.

Sorry for the rant.. but damn there are so many areas that if improved, would make us such a stronger team.. consistent team. We got hot and peaked at the right time.. this coming season I want to dominate. We have the talent and coaches to do so.. so use every resource we can and pummel the opposition.

Excluding pieces and facets of the team and game aren't going to make us more dominate.. Finley would be a big piece if used properly and healthy.
