I think we trade back this year because there are going to be a few teams that are QB light and will want Ponder, Locker, and Mallet.
I still like War's idea about 4 picks in rounds 2 & 3, which is usually the sweat spot of the draft where some of the best value lies.

Here is my thinking. IF Ted cannot find a trade partner what if he took LOCKER at #32?
Here's why. NE is sitting at #33 and teams know they like to make trades. So Ted undercuts them and some team early in round two trades with us so that Ted can get into that multipe 2nd and 3rd round position I think he would love to be in.
In the mean time he screws NE which wouldn't hurt my feelings either.
Can you imagine all the calls being made right about then and the negotiating going on and then the Packer take Locker? There would be GM's hanging up on GM's trying to get to Thompson first.
