That was the order they finished in. Coach of the year has become the award for "Surprise team of the year". Since GB was picked to go the SB by many before the year started Mike McCarthy is automatically out of the running. I would bet many national writers have no fucking clue how many injuries this team had, sad but true. In all honesty, the writers know less than the fans, and these are the paid "professionals".

Belicheck also made a team out of no names like Ben Garvis Green and Woodhead or whoever the hell the guy they got from the Jets was.

Furthermore, this is voted on in early January, prior to the playoffs.

I'm not necessarily advocating for BB, but he made some chicken salad out of chicken shit.

I think "The Team" will have a little extra effort, punch, smack, and focus this Sunday to give a little "Love For Coach Mike"

I can see Chuck bringing them in on the side line before the game......

Every game the team has a single word or phrase as you know. This week it will not be 1.. 2.. 3.. "White House"

This Sunday It might be 1.. 2.. 3.. "MIKE"

This can be a good thing.

If these votes were submitted prior to the end of the season or at least prior to the playoffs, this doesn't shock me at all. Patriots went 14 - 2.

It shouldn't shock anybody that BB got it, or even that he was in the race for it, but it is surprising that Mike McCarthy didn't get a single vote. All season, we were thinking that he legitimately deserved national recognition for COY.
