like everyone else I voted rodgers - mainly because of how often favre threw INTs and was irratic.

I think my step dad has developed a complex over the years watching favre play. He was only a casual fan but I my step dad saying "favre did it again" as he throws another game losing INT ...

I took Rodgers, because without him I doubt we would be here today.

In the Atlanta game when they took all the momentum from the Packers with the kick return, he settled right down and went back to work.. calmly and without a rush to take it back. He helped the Packers offense march down the field and grind it back, thus putting a cloud of doubt over the Falcons on whether they could stop the Packers.

In a game with this much hype and this much pressure.. I like the calm that Rodgers has on the field. No rocket balls.. no trying to get it all on one shot.

The only time that I recall Rodgers playing poorly in a "big game situation" is during week 1 this year. He, as well as the rest of the team and offense, had so much hype coming in, and he simply did not have a good game. He looked way too excited and jittery. Other than that, the guy has been an oak.

My thoughts exactly. I would have liked to see this thread at the end of last season. I think there still would be many Brent Believers.

The one vote for Brett Favre (so far) was me.

In his prime, which he was in 97, he was arguably the best QB in history. There isn't a better five-year run a QB has ever had than Favre's run in 94-98. He did it all through that span.

That's why I would take him over anyone in that span.

Saying Rodgers is more stable couldnt be more accurate. I think Rodgers has a chance to be more stable or consistent throughout his career than Favre. There was a drop-off in Favre's play after Holmgren left. It is evident when going back and watching the games.

I don't think Rodgers is going to see many drop-offs between now and the end of the decade. I think his consistency is his strength and that will not come across in just one game. It will come across throughout his career.

I knew it would be too, it's your style. ;)

Trend this way, Matt that way!

I think other than losing his father, losing Holmgren hurt Brett's career more than anything. It's my belief it wasn't until McCarthy that someone finally started to reel him in again.

Brett was pretty awesome in '97 too, but I'm old, my heart can't handle the extreme HIGHS and LOWS anymore, thus, I trust Aaron a hair more. 🙂

I'm going to stay out of this one as it's like if you had two kids and someone asked you which one you liked better.

However, this picture deserves an applause point.
