I just dug a little deeper, though, and Ben has a greater passer rating on turf than he does on grass for the 4 seasons prior to this season, so I'm kind of eating my words on that one! :(

However, that doesn't change the fact that our team is a quick and speedy one, and playing on turf should benefit us more than it does them.

Dome makes a huge difference, that explains us being favored. I was shocked at the Vegas line but it makes perfect sense, its basically saying the teams are even but the Packers are getting the -3 at home thing. Rodgers in a dome, if the Atlanta game is any indication, will be sight to see. Although we really do need to factor in that it was the Falcons D v. the Steelers D, I expect them to be a bit better but who knows.

Also Troy Aikman and Joe Buck are doing the broadcast.
The Packers are 7-1 this season with them broadcasting.
The one loss was overtime at Washington.

GB is -3 because gamblers are picking them more often. not because the so called experts have done an in depth analysis of each team and broken down their strengths and weaknesses. done position by position match ups.
granted some gamblers have a better understanding of a team's characteristics but come SB time you get an awlful lot of part timers jumping in to the action.
First to score, coin toss, over/under for yards gained.

I might be wrong but I always thought the Vegas Oddsmakers base the line on analyzing statistics, history, etc. and then gamblers move the line accordingly if they start betting heavily on one side. I don't mean to say they sit there and look at every little thing but I would guess that the Dome thing favors the Packers. If the game was in Kansas City, I would guess it'd be an even spread. But again, I don't know a whole lot about the odd-making.

I don't know if Aaron can pull off what he did in Atlanta against Pittsburgh but boy am I happy he has the ability to do something like it in a dome.

Ok so Rodgers had a great game against the awful Falcons secondary and he is a dome qb? What about the game in Detroit? He is on top of his game but don't give me this dome thing. Oh and people seem to forget that the Steeler defense is built on speed also.
Just Imagine this for the next 6-9 years. What a ride it will be 🙂 (PS, Zero should charge for this)

Pittsburgh's pass D IS very good, as they are right up there with GB's in a lot of categories. I'd take our O over Pittsburgh's any day though.
