Alright everyone...so I have never placed a bet in my life. Was never a person to bet because I hated losing money. Funny thing is, right now I have very little money and I just placed my first bet (it could be desperation).

My friend has squares and had 4 slots left, $5 a square. I bought two squares...poop. I feel guilty for betting for some reason even though it is only $10.

You can win $125 a quarter which is what sucked me in. I got my numbers...my question is now, should I be satisfied or should I worry?

My numbers are Cardinals 4- Steelers 3 and Cardinals 1- Steelers 7. So what do you guys think? The last digit in the score has to match my numbers for both teams at the end of the quarter to win $125. I could win multiple times.

Here is to the following box score for my sake.
1st:
Cards-14
Steelers-3
2nd:
Cards-21
Steelers-17
3rd:
Cards-21
Steelers-27
4th:
Cards-31
Steelers-27

Cardinals win...Sean is happy and $500 richer. Obviously, this is a joke but I wouldn't mind taking 1 quarter at least.

Anyone else have any bets they made on this game? Betting is bad.

Of course I'm betting on the game. I won a lot of money last SB when everyone thought the Patriots would kill the Giants. I found suckers to even give me points. I knew outright I wouldn't need points. Where is Snap by the way? I miss that guy (he's a Giants fan, really cool guy).

Anyways, on this SB, I can't bet. I hate the Steelers but I think it's a long shot the Cardinals win this one. So I will be rooting for a team I'll be betting against? No can do.

I am playing squares though. I got Cardinals 5 Steelers 7, Cardinals 5 Steelers 8, and 3/3. Not great numbers, but not bad. They were picked at random so I had no hand in them.

As for your numbers, 14/13 is a good half-time score. So is 21-17 for a final score. You got a shot. Good luck.

I feel indifferent about this Super Bowl now because as I have watched it for enjoyment in the past, now I am watching it and just hoping for the team to hit my numbers...I don't know if I can enjoy that. $10 goes a long way for me right now being a year out of college...lol.

Anyways, thanks Zombie. I am feeling more confident about my numbers as the SB gets closer.

Gotarace--my friend running the squares got the worst number and he put in $20 so maybe I should be grateful eh?

My numbers are Arizona-8, Pitt -4 and Arizona-4, Pitt-9.
Terrible numbers but anything can happen.

Getting on these boards is the only thing that keeps up my interest when the Packers aren't in it.

There is a $1000.00 a square board here, I wish I could afford to throw money like that around.

I'm not much on betting either. I went to a casino one time, spent 50 bucks in about 15 minutes......and then thought of what i could have bought for $50. Never did it again.
My way of thinking is.....never bet what you can't afford to lose. If you DO win, it's just gravy.
My wife bought a couple squares, but i don't even know what her numbers are yet.

14-9 is a good halftime score. 28-24 and 28-14 are both good 3rd Q or final scores. Even 38-24 is a good final score. Not bad numbers.

I would worry more if the person running the pool is keeping some of the money for "running the pool." That happens a lot, and when they do, it lowers the odds of making it worthwhile to have bet at all.
