Aaron in a dome and on artificial turf. The steelers have no idea what is coming.

Kind of ironic that it's in Dallas. Remember how the middle of the field had a crown on it, and Favre was always overthrowing our guys, because he was so amped up to start the game? Favre could never win in Dallas, but Arodge played very well there.
The whole "dome jinx" is over now. We got lots of team speed.

Also Troy Aikman and Joe Buck are doing the broadcast.
The Packers are 7-1 this season with them broadcasting.
The one loss was overtime at Washington.

My favourite part of this whole Super Bowl thing, besides, of course, our Packers being in it, is the fact that two franchises with more history and prestige than the Cowboys are spoiling the party of the grand opening of "Jerryland"!

I'd think that Troy would start rooting for the Packers after watching their awesomeness so often.

Is the dome going to be open or closed? My guess is closed. By they shoot off fireworks in these games and the smoke hangs over the field for a while. Maybe they will keep it open just a crack. :thumbleft:

good point jdlax...this is an incredible game from a historical perspective too.

It seems like things have come full circle if you can call it that mid-career for ARod.

It was at Dallas, in relief of Burt where we got a glimpse of what he could become, and here's an opportunity to cement his name in packer lore. Furthermore, he's demonstrated in Atlanta, in Minny, in Dallas that he and this offense can be most effective when in a dome!

The Steelers play tough. Polamalu plays tough and fast, but the rest of the the team plays tough. Our entire team, offense and defense, specializes in speed. Playing in the dome is a huge advantage to us. Roethlisberger in the 2010 season has a rating of 76.1 in a dome, compared to Rodgers' 98.2. That's one of my favorite stats.

Though very true about the difference, peteralan, I think Rothelisberger has always had ho-hum underwhelming stats, yet has proven he can make a key play when it's needed...case in point with his 58 yard bomb vs. the Ravens, the conversion yesterday, TD to holmes vs. AZ, etc.

That's true, but I am still happy that we're playing the 76.1 (turf) Roethlisberger and not the 107.0 (grass) Roethlisberger. He plays very very well on grass, which brings his numbers up. He had a rating of 97.0 this season. I understand and appreciate that stats don't tell the whole story, and I more than agree with what you're saying about stepping up--he is a warrior, no question about it--but if there is a stat that encompasses how a QB does the best, it is the passer rating, by far. I can't help but think that the game being on turf is what gives us the 2.5 point favorites status.
