I don't know how The Packers have won 11 games this season with their "GARBAGE" receivers.

James Jones needs to concentrate more, I'll give you that one, but his td catch was not an easy catch and he made that one.

GJ missed on the quick sideline pass, looked to me the ball just got their a little faster than he was expecting it, it was catchable, but I'm not gonna bust his balls for that one, btw his catch on the sidelines as he was sliding out of bounds was a thing of beauty, not many make that catch.

DD was clutch going over the middle lat Sunday, he had 5 reception, 4 I think were for 1st downs, the one he "so calle dropped" was behind him and came loose because he was flat on his back sliding trying to bring it in. Troy Aikman called it right, everyone is so used to DD making that catch, when he doesn't people are surprised. That was not a dropped pass it was an incomplete pass.

The wide recievers were not targetd as much, mainly because the running game was working and AR was throwing more to Jackson and Kuhn. I think if you take a look you will see the wr's either taking defeners with them, or coming back and blocking on lot of the plays.

AR threw for 180 yds and 3td's. Packers won

Last year AR threw for 440 yds and 4td's...Packers lost.

Sometimes less is more, the only stat that is important right now is that W/L stat.

Yeah, of last week's drops, the only really bad one was the Jones drop on that bomb. The Jennings drop was on a fastball just as he turned around, and the Driver drop was on a throw that was behind him as he went to the ground. I'm not even sure if I would classify that one as a drop.

The only reason I can think of for the drops is that Rodgers does throw the ball harder than most QBs--but that would only explain a fraction of them. It seems like there were times when we had the same problem when Favre was QB. It's going to happen when you have a strong-armed QB throwing into tight windows. Those plays allow your offense to do some special things, but the receivers aren't going to catch all of them.

It's the easy drops that are infuriating.

I remember when Rodgers took over the QB position when Favre left/got the boot, Driver and the boys were "complaining" about how hard ARod threw the ball. This was after Favre, who was well known for having a rocket-arm, left. Pretty impressive.

Heck yes, I still gawk at some of the balls he throws to the sideline... Not an inch of tilt and on a rope!

Against the Falcons I want to see them spread the defense out with 3 and 4 WRs sets and pass the ball early get them on their heels and then a heavy dose of running out of lot of WR sets... then play action for a deep bomb (prefer it to Jennings and not to Jones (because it seems like Jones drops bomb passes a couple of times this season even when him right on the hands)

My God, are these guys pop warner kids or professional wide outs.

The ball hit them in the hands. Not the tip of the finger. Not just one hand. BOTH bloody hands. The Driver one was behind him, and it is absolutely Rodgers' fault there was no opportunity to run after the catch but the ball went right through his hands.

The Jennings one too was right through his hands. On an out route it is going to be there right as you turn and it's going to be outside as an under throw or a late throw can easily be a pick six. No professional receiver should have an excuse for dropping that pass.

If it hits you in the hands, catch the ball. End of.

I guess every receiver in the NFL is a Pop Warner kid then, because they all drop passes.

While I agree with Greg that they all drop passes, it sure seems that the Packers drop a hell of a lot more. This year, anyway. And of course I don't watch all of the games, but the opponents that we have seen, during our matchups, don't seem to drop the ball hardly ever. There have been some, yes, but Green Bay has had more, to my naked eye.

Yep, the Packers have dropped more than most teams, I'm pretty sure of that. But our opponents have dropped passes too. I think we tend to forget the opponents' drops.

My point about making distinctions between the drops is that there are some passes that "should" be caught but are not easy and are not going to be caught every time. They just aren't. Not by anybody. I can live with those, at least to a certain extent.
