Philadelphia Eagles drafted 1 RB 2nd round.

He is not a bust.

Bust rate 0 %

I like how you don't specify which year, that's awesome analysis right thar!!

Edit, LeSean McCoy, 2nd round, 53rd overall, Eagles. Excellent pick!

Arian Foster 1616 yards UDFA Not a bust

Jamaal Charles 1467 yards 3rd rd pick Not a bust

Michael Turner 1371 yards 5th rd pick Not a bust

Maurice Jones-Drew 1324 yards 2nd rd pick Not a bust

Ahmad Bradshaw 1235 yards 7th rd pick Not a bust

Ray Rice 1220 yards 2nd rd pick Not a bust

Peyton Hillis 1177 yards 7th rd pick Not a bust

LeSean McCoy 1080 yards 2nd rd pick Not a bust

Brandon Jackson [goes to the equivalent of hell on the NFL leaderboard to find him, technically 32nd--] 703 yards bust

32nd... Talk about a ham and egger...

Compare to:

Ryan Grant UDFA that we paid a 6th for--

In 2007, he was somewhat low on the pecking order-- 24th-- But he only started 7 friggin' games! and put up 956 yards (That was a 2100 yard pace, friends)

2008 1203 yards not a bust

2009 1253 yards not a bust

703 friggin' yards from a 2nd rd pick playing in his contract year. The whole league fears him. lol

Its so hard to predict what RBs will translate their talents efficiently from college to the NFL.

What is the hardest position to make the move from college to NFL? I know I've heard it before but cannot remember it...

Thats what I think too, is QB. But for some reason, I thought that I remembered maybe hearing that it was CB. I wanted to see if thats what you guys thought. That just doesn't seem right to me. The other one that I could see being the hardest possibly would be an offensive tackle. There is a lot of intelligence that goes into being a tackle and they have to think VERY quickly, and it seems like the position gets overlooked.

This site has a LOT of those answers for you (kev can ignore, but it is good stuff for those with an interest)

http://www.draftmetrics.com/

Cornerbacks are a fascinating issue... We as Packer fans ALL remember Ahmad C##rol--- Your answer lies above...

This is a useful stat, btw: (Even though it's "old news")

http://www.ourlads.com/nfldraftavg/

I would just like to be able to shoot any statistician in the ass that doesn't think we need a seriously credible run game, btw

We got a left tackle that goes to the pro bowl and can't run block, playing alongside a left guard that can't run block either, a coach that like to run to that side, a RT probably playing out of position because we need that pass block on the left, thereby negating whatever he brings to the table, another fairly decent looking RT type riding the pine because of a wrist issue early on, a friggin' RB that still can't figure out that there will be no hole-but rather a "seam"-whatever the fuck that is (consult Grant, lol) ... and fans that defend the whole crazy bunch of 'em largely because they are Packers. This is why we drink so much in Wisconsin... Even those of us that are long-gone from the whack-place physically.

I shouldn't have came back to this thread. You really don't know what you're talking about. One year can be a bust, but the previous/following then they are not? Hold up, correction, I do not know what YOU are talking about. A bust for me is the whole body of work, not a single year, not a single play in a game.

I aim for objective thinking while in context, not just seeing OMG 2nd rounder, OMG didn't hit 1,000 yards = BUST!!

The whole body of work for Jackson is a bust.

A complete bust.

FOUR years

2 touchdowns

3 fumbles

1329 yards... in F O U R years

He should not be taking any carries. NONE. They are way too important on this team, and he screws them up. He has proven that over and over and over.

(If Kev opts to respond, I'm going to recommend he be SHOT (Jackson, not Kev-yet, lol) prior to our game with the Iggles [E A G L E S- Kev] lol )

Maybe your boy can redeem himself with a great game and/or play like Lynch just did... After all Lynch was most decidedly one of the 1st rounders that some seem to think you need to go to in a running back...

(even though Seattle got him for a 4th rounder)

I agree. For what Jackson has done this season, I am not a fan. If he picks it up, GREAT. But as of now, he deserves to be replaced.

You're ability to distinguish a bust is ... is a bust in itself.

I agree on you don't really know what you're saying. You're still good shit, but you just don't know what a bust is, which is aight. :)

Edit, btw, he's not my boy. I've said MANY times, I hope he's replaced. He played in 52 games, started 16 out of a possible 64 and helped us out. He's not a featured back, that does not mean the second to last pick in the 2nd round of 2007 was a bust. It's not that hard to comprehend and if we're lucky, the Packers will find an upgrade for 3rd down. 🙂

Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : sounds like Packers don't get good compensation, Jaire staying
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Nobody coming up with a keep, but at x amount
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Trade, cut or keep
dfosterf (16-Apr) : that from Jaire
dfosterf (16-Apr) : My guess is the Packers floated the concept of a reworked contract via his agent and agent got a f'
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : Yes, and that is why I think Rob worded it how he did. Rather than say "agent"
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Same laws apply. Agent must present such an offer to Jaire. Cannot accept or reject without presenting it
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : I'm thinking that is why Rob worded it how he did.
dfosterf (16-Apr) : The Packers can certainly still make the offer to the agent
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Laws of agency and definition of fiduciary responsibility
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Jaire is open to a reduced contract without Jaire's permission
dfosterf (16-Apr) : The agent would arguably violate the law if he were to tell the Packers
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : That someone ... likely the agent.
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : So, Jaire has not been offered nor rejected a pay reduction, but someone says he'd decline.
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : Demovksy says t was direct communication with someone familiar with Jaire’s line of thinking at that moment.
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : Demovsky just replied to me a bit ago. Jaire hasn't said it.
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Of course, that depends on the definition of "we"
dfosterf (16-Apr) : We have been told that they haven't because he wouldn't accept it. I submit we don't know that
dfosterf (16-Apr) : What is the downside in making a calculated reduced offer to Jaire?
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : Packers are receiving interest in Jaire Alexander but a trade is not imminent
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : Jalen Ramsey wants to be traded. He's never happy is he?
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : two 1sts in 2022 and two 2nd's in 2023 and 2024
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : Packers had fortunate last three drafts.

dfosterf (14-Apr) : Maybe send a crew of Angels to the Packers draft room on draft day.
Zero2Cool (14-Apr) : I am the Angel that gets visited.
dfosterf (14-Apr) : Visiting Angels has a pretty good reputation
Zero2Cool (14-Apr) : what
Martha Careful (14-Apr) : WINNING IT, not someone else losing it. The best victory though was re-uniting with his wife
Martha Careful (14-Apr) : The manner in which he won it was just amazing and wonderful. First blowing the lead then getting back, then blowing it. But ultimately

Mucky Tundra (10-Apr) : I don't recall that he did which is why I asked.
Zero2Cool (10-Apr) : Guessing they probably knew. Did he have cast or something on?
