They aren't being used as an excuse. At least not by the GBP administration. The other players have stepped up in a huge way and we have hardly missed a beat, with a few exceptions.

I disagree, injuries cost us the division this year. We should be sitting on our asses this week watching the wild card weekend instead of participating. You can't tell me we aren't 2 games better in the standings had Grant and Finley not gone down, hell we would probably have home field throughout.

I'm not saying that we wouldn't be better, I'm just not using it as an excuse. Kind of a technicality, I know, and I see what you're saying, but I'm just saying that the administration never used it as an excuse for losses.

Our injuries have made wins harder to get, but they don't excuse losses. That's the way I look at it anyway.

What has hurt us is the additional losses of CM3, Rodgers, Pickett, and Jenkins at times.

It is no fluke that when we were losing games to Detroit, Washington, NE, and, Miami that several of the guys above did not play.

What it tells me is that while we have weathered a huge number of injuries we cannot sustain the level of play needed when these players cannot go. For sure we know we can't expect to win without Rodgers and since we lost both games when CM3 went down the same can be said for him. That was obvious enough when he was all over the field against Washington and they could barely muster a 1st down and we ended up getting beat when he couldn't go in the second half.

When the IR list is that long we have to have these other guys in the lineup to have a reasonable chance to win. Fortunately....they all be there now baby!

DakotaT -- This is a post I had on another thread that also applies to this conversation.

"[If we had Finley (aka less key injuries) throughout the season], this means that we could have had at least one more win, putting us in the 2nd or 3rd spot on the NFC (same record as the Saints, not sure about the tie-breakers), and Rodgers would certainly by this point have learned to utilize all the receivers with a great balance, and Finley would have helped us in the playoffs. We are not better at this point without Finley."

I hope he does whatever it takes to prove himself to the coaches and vets. From basically everything I've seen out of him, when used correctly, he looks a back in the league that when given 25 carries will go for 100+

Agreed, but personally I don't accept that the teams seated above us are a better team than we are. Go look at our points for and against differentio sometime. We are a much better team that 10-6; and it is a very good time to be a Packer fan. Now if we could just get our Favrebillie buddies to see some of this.

Injuries is not an excuse. But it is a reason. But the team has overcome anyway, and is preparing to take the next step.

The game-winning Calvin Johnson TD against the Bears that was called incomplete is what cost us the division. That is the 1 play I can say that could have completely changed our seeding (from 6 to 2).

But, I think all the lumps we have taken this season have built our teams character. We have "true grit" now. As long as our WRs don't choke, we should be able to win tomorrow.

dfosterf (1h) : Trade, cut or keep
dfosterf (2h) : that from Jaire
dfosterf (2h) : My guess is the Packers floated the concept of a reworked contract via his agent and agent got a f'
Zero2Cool (2h) : Yes, and that is why I think Rob worded it how he did. Rather than say "agent"
dfosterf (2h) : Same laws apply. Agent must present such an offer to Jaire. Cannot accept or reject without presenting it
Zero2Cool (2h) : I'm thinking that is why Rob worded it how he did.
dfosterf (2h) : The Packers can certainly still make the offer to the agent
dfosterf (2h) : Laws of agency and definition of fiduciary responsibility
dfosterf (2h) : Jaire is open to a reduced contract without Jaire's permission
dfosterf (2h) : The agent would arguably violate the law if he were to tell the Packers
Zero2Cool (2h) : That someone ... likely the agent.
Zero2Cool (2h) : So, Jaire has not been offered nor rejected a pay reduction, but someone says he'd decline.
Zero2Cool (2h) : Demovksy says t was direct communication with someone familiar with Jaire’s line of thinking at that moment.
Zero2Cool (3h) : Demovsky just replied to me a bit ago. Jaire hasn't said it.
dfosterf (4h) : Of course, that depends on the definition of "we"
dfosterf (4h) : We have been told that they haven't because he wouldn't accept it. I submit we don't know that
dfosterf (4h) : What is the downside in making a calculated reduced offer to Jaire?
Zero2Cool (20h) : Packers are receiving interest in Jaire Alexander but a trade is not imminent
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : Jalen Ramsey wants to be traded. He's never happy is he?

Zero2Cool (14-Apr) : I am the Angel that gets visited.
dfosterf (14-Apr) : Visiting Angels has a pretty good reputation
Zero2Cool (14-Apr) : what
Martha Careful (14-Apr) : WINNING IT, not someone else losing it. The best victory though was re-uniting with his wife
Martha Careful (14-Apr) : The manner in which he won it was just amazing and wonderful. First blowing the lead then getting back, then blowing it. But ultimately

Mucky Tundra (10-Apr) : I don't recall that he did which is why I asked.
Zero2Cool (10-Apr) : Guessing they probably knew. Did he have cast or something on?
Mucky Tundra (10-Apr) : Did they know that at the time or was that something the realized afterwards?

Zero2Cool (2-Apr) : Spotting ball isn't changing, only measuring distance is, Which wasn't the issue.
