God I hope you guys are right. One thing I keep reminding myself is that the best team right now in football, the Patriots, got their asses handed to them by the Browns earlier this year. This could have been our Browns game.

William Henderson didn't have to run people over. His preferred method was levitation.

Plus I already took the Browns to the Super Bowl earlier today, so their season is over.

I just don't see us winning next week.

I'm just as down as you after this loss, but I take comfort in that perhaps the O-line will come out hell bent on atoning for this week's piss poor performance.

Like against the Falcons game where our O-line got beat by the Falcons D-line on 3rd and 4th short yardage plays and couldn't convert any, then next week they went 6-6 and pretty much dominated the 49ers D-line.

Frankly, we need them to come back with a fire if we have a shot against the Pats. We really, really could use a win.

Sorry correction - As of todays loss and projected loss against the Pats, we're plugged into 6th seed by power rankings.

What frustrated me is if you watch that play he was looking directly at the corner and the DE who dropped back, but just didn't pay any attention.

It's like the damning tunnel-vision focus a 14 year old boy gets when he sees the neighbor's mom topless, changing in the window...not noticing her husband, who is mowing the lawn 3 feet in front of him, watching the punk oggle his wife.

I predicted we'd lose this game, then bounce back against New England. That's MM's pattern. You start out hot, then in games 4-8 you find your way back to .500. Your guys have a come to jesus meeting after some really ugly losses, then you right the ship and win a bunch of games down the stretch to squeak into the playoffs. But you lose one ugly along the way against a vastly inferior opponent, then come back to win a game in which you are an underdog.
It's a pattern. Still, I'm discouraged with MM's offense. The defense showed up. The offense didn't. It's happened before.

You try to call plays with that OLine.

We couldn't run OR pass today, simply because of our line.

dfosterf (25-Jul) : It's my one day deal complaint dept. on shareholder meeting day
dfosterf (25-Jul) : Probably a homer access credential intimidation kinda thing
dfosterf (25-Jul) : Meathead "journalists" skip this, concentrating on operational revenue when convenient. They switch when net revenue is more favorable.
dfosterf (25-Jul) : Resulting in an actual drop of net revenue of 12.5%. She is from Minnesota. Just sayin'
