3-2. We'll beat the Pats and lose to the Bares and the Gnats. Those are two decent defenses, and we have NO running game. They'll drop 8 into coverage all day long...

Home - San Fransisco 49ers - 12:00pm CST
Away - Detroit Lions - 12:00pm CST
Away - New England Patriots - 7:20pm CST
Home - New York Giants - 3:15pm CST
Home - Chicago Bears - 12:00pm CST

Can we run the table and finish 12 - 4?

In our prediction thread, I have us winning out. I'll regret this later, but I only had the Eagles and Bears games wrong up to this point. lol.

Crossing fingers!!

I think that the Pats and the Bears will be our hardest games. I love that our last two regular season games are at home. I don't think that we should forget about the Lions. They are the team that has a lot of talent but cannot seem to win. They have a very tough front 7, and we have a very poor running game. Their strength matches our weakness, which is never a good thing. This simply means that we will pass the ball 40 times.

Although the Bears have a better record than us and beat us earlier in the season when we were losing players left and right, I believe that we will come out of week 17 as the better team. It will be a close game though, I believe. They have always had a tough defense, and are starting to have a more explosive offense. It is a colon-puckering season, to say the least.

As I said in another thread, I am not crazy about the Bears. I think Chicago will fall back real soon. Wouldn't be shocked to see them drop three more games before the season is done.

I've been hearing and reading that for over a month now. Bears are not for real, they'll fall down. Bastards keep winning.

I think New England will be the toughest challenge.

Next most difficult game, Bears. I think the Bears play us hard at home each year.

I think we'll dominate the Giants, and 49ers.

Lions, I don't know what to expect. I do think we will win that one.

"porky88" wrote:

We should be able to beat the 49ers and Lions unless we play the worst game of our season (which we already did agst Chicago earlier).

Giants will be tough. They got a great pass rush, and I fully expect Bulaga to struggle against their DEs (not a knock on Bryan, but a credit to Tuck, Umenyora, etc). Both the Pats and the Giants have suspect secondaries, that A-rod will have to exploit for us to win. The Bears have a solid defense, but I'm not really worried at all about that game. We dominated them last game and barring any penalty or special teams meltdowns, I just don't think their secondary can stop Rodgers. Whether that game will determine the NFC North title, is still to be determined.

The most important game we will play will be the one against the Giants. We are directly competing against them for a wildcard spot, so head to head, and record vs. the NFC will be crucial. We can probably lose the Pats game and sneak in, b/c games vs. the AFC don't matter as much for tie breaker, if I recall correctly.

I'm not sure if I'm alone with this thought, but I think I would almost prefer if we do not have homefield advantage for the playoffs. We are a passing team, first. If we can't count on the running game in a dome, I highly doubt we can count on it in snow covered Lambeau in January. We also play exceptionally well on the road, maybe because of lower expectations, less pressure.

Anyway you look at it, this is shaping up to be one of the most exciting regular seasons in recent memory. GO PACK!

It will be tough to go into New England and win that game. Admittedly, I am unsure about that one. I feel good about Green Bay this season. More so than maybe even last year given the wide open NFC.

The Packers do have one important thing going for them. They have the tiebreaker over Philadelphia. If they can at least get into a tie with the Eagles, they could perhaps earn the No. 2 seed in the NFC.

As I said in another thread, I am not crazy about the Bears. I think Chicago will fall back real soon. Wouldn't be shocked to see them drop three more games before the season is done.

The Bears have played one good team on the road all year against the Giants and lost 17-3. Every other team they played on the road sucked. I think they lose one out of two against either Detroit or the Vikes, we beat them as well as the Jets and NE.

I don't think we lose another game. NE has no defense and I look at that game like what I saw this week with the Chargers against the Colts. Everybody looked at the NE/Colts game like it was two heavyweights trading blows. I think it's more like two teams that can't stop anybody. We have something called DEFENSE and I think we take care of NE with it.

We will be the BEST team the Bears have to face on the road all year. If anybody thinks the road don't matter it MATTERS. We will beat them at home.

I don't see a loss here but if so maybe one somewhere but the Bears are losing three so I see us taking the North with 11 wins but one loss is the most we will have the rest of the way.

Great diagnosis. I hope you're right. I am glad that we're playing the Pats late in the season as we know what our team is now and we'll get to see how 'great' our defense really is. I know that Atlanta is a good team, however, we gave up a couple of early third and longs that game that I think a great defense resolves. We are strangling bad teams which is excellent. I'd just like to see us limit the play off teams too.

No way we lose to the bears again; last game against them was BS ... did we really deserve 18 penalties ... its a human judge of human actions ...

Look at how refs act; I mean what I saw when I watched the atlanta game is that they called 2 15 yarders on atlanta and so they just decide to call a 'facemask' against our RB as he stiff armed a guy ... I mean come on ...
seemed to me it was just a penalty to make the atlanta team/fans not so mad at them being called on their penalties.

-least thats the way I took it-

ya back to the bears ... we got the bears and the giants at home ... IMO we beat both handedly ... LOL the giants hardly beat the jags

the pats at home now that'll be tough but still doable IMO ...

I find it hard to believe that the refs would choose that, of all things, as a "make-up" call. For one thing, it happened about two hours after those penalties against the Falcons.

It was just a dumb call, plain and simple. The refs make a lot of those.

It wasn't our running back anyway. It was our kick returner, who happens to be a cornerback.

agreed, greg. i think all the ref saw was the defenders head go back & decided shields got a hand under the helmet. bad call - so bad, i looked at the hubby & said "when did they make stiff arms illegal?".

as for the remaining 5 games, i sincerely hope we beat the ever lovin crap outta the bears & cutler. he made a complete fool outta himself yesterday. new england is the only one that worries me. hopefully we don't relax too much with detroit & the niners. they aren't teams to assume a win against.
