We are 23rd in the NFL in rushing attempts so we wasted plays at least more than 9 other NFL teams. ;)

Nah, I get what you're saying. I'm well-aware that we may face a team like the Giants in the Playoffs where we will have to run the ball as they're #1 against the pass and have a sick DL.

But I'm not worried. We got Starks after all. I heard Gore faked a hip injury as to avoid being compared to him next week.

I don't think McCarthy abandons the run at all. What I see is a coach trying to get the defense on their heals. He will put in his five receiver set and packages to move the ball downfield BUT he will go back and continue to run it once he gets that working.

When we play teams prolific against the run I see it as smart football to get them backing off and bringing in packages to defend our passing attack. There has been arguments here about setting up the pass with the run or run with the pass. How can you set up the run with the pass if for a measure of the game you don't push the defense with your passing game?

At some point in every game the offense has to take command. We do that by passing the football and it generally allows the run game to be adequate.

If ANYTHING I would like to see McCarthy run the no-huddle more. I think we can start dictating to the defense, get them guessing, and in bad personnel groups. Rodgers can run it without a problem and Favre did it two to three times a game that last year when we got to the NFC Championship game. That no-huddle got defenses all screwed up and they didn't know what we were doing next.

I saw a little of it Sunday and hope they bring it out more and more in this last stretch.

GBPG Loss against Falcons came down to two plays

On both of those plays, it all came down to pad level.

Final 5(back on topic), every game is winnable, as bad as some think last Sunday was, The Packers play with the intensity they did against Atlanta they should come out on top the next 5 weeks.

Just a thought, even if The Bears would win the division, The Packers might not be in to bad of shape if they get the 5th seed(1st WC), that would put them up against the winner of The West(Seahawks,49r's, Rams), probably the Packers would be favored.

Thought #2, looking ahead, as hard as it might be for some on this forum, The Vikings have become one of our best friends for the remainder of the season as they play The Bears,Giants and Eagles 3 of the next 5, I for one will be rooting for them.

Uh oh. You probably shouldn't have admitted that. I think there are some people here who blindly hate the Vikings so much that they'd rather see us eliminated from the Playoffs than rooting for the Vikings to win a few games.

I do see us winning 4 and losing to the Pats. I hope I'm wrong and we win out though.

I actually have a reason to cheer for the viks now (instead of if I have a wager on them).

Be exciting to watch them now; Just want them to at least kick the bears ass (would be funny).

I don't think anybody hates the Vikings THAT much. If they do, here's what I have to say to them: Think about how sad all of the Vikings fans will be if the Packers make the playoffs. So anything that helps the Packers get in, including some Vikings victories, will just make those Vikings fans sad in the end.

Sad, sad, sad! They will be crying! Think about that Viking guy who blows the big horn at the Metrodome. He will be sad too! All of them will be sad when the playoffs start and the Packers are still playing and the Vikings are not. You don't have to cheer for them anyway. Just look at the scores and remember how it benefits us if they win. And remember how their victories will ultimately contribute to their own sadness. What a bunch of pathetic losers!
