do you guys really think someone will pick him up? He couldn't be motivated to play for 2 SB contenders, what the heck makes you think he'll be worth a darn to a shitty team?

Yeah, no kidding. I had heard that when the Patriots started shopping him, the Vikings were the only taker. My guess is that he sits out the rest of this season and maybe attempts a comeback next year.

I was so glad the Packers didn't sign him when they had the chance in '07 and '08.

The Vikings just threw a third round draft pick and a whole lot of money down the toilet. But now that they've dumped Moss, is there a slight chance that they try to exert some control over Brett Favre? This was the guy Brett wanted to play with, after all, so dumping him can be taken as, at least in part, a notice to Favre that he can't just have anything he wants. Unfortunately for the Vikings, it is far too little, far too late.

I think Philadelphia will pick him up.

I would like to see Green Bay land him. He would open up the offense underneath. We saw what he did for Wes Welker and Percy Harvin. Imagine what he would do for Greg Jennings?

The Packers need a presence that could replace Finley and Moss could do it. I also believe in Green Bay's locker room. I think Charles Woodson would set a good example for Moss.

I don't think it will happen though, but I also don't think this is about Moss as much as it is Brad Childress. As bad as some people make Mike McCarthy out to be, Childress is ten times worse. He's the worse coach in football right now. His offense looks like something from 30 years ago. He doesn't know how to use Brett Favre. He didn't use Moss properly and he has the best RB of his generation in Adrian Peterson.

Minnesota is a mess. I feel bad for Viking fans. That is the most talented team in the league. They have future Hall of Fame inductees on both sides of the ball. Not to mention young talent that is up and coming. They've done a great job blending free agency and the draft. Yet, they're going be lucky to win eight games this season.

People can point fingers at Favre and Moss, but the real finger pointing should be at Childress. Teddy Brushci was right when he said that Moss saw how Belichick did things for three years and it only took him three weeks to realize how terrible Childress is.

Well said, Porky and I agree with all your points:
1) I watched Moss for 4 weeks. He opens things up for you. You'll have underneath routes all day long and the second a defender goes to cover them, you got Moss deep one-on-one which is fatal for a defense (ask Belichick),
2) MN does still have a lot of talent and blaming Favre for MN's mess is silly. Childress didn't know how to run an O before Favre came. Best thing that the Vikings could possibly do is let Favre call the plays.

It's too late for the Vikings now. We're winning this division, no matter what changes they make.

And yes, AP is the best RB of his generation.

I'm not saying boo until his name hits the wires - it didn't today, so he's not been waived yet.

I really wouldn't be surprised to wake up tomorrow to find that Moss is still a Viking and Chilly is not.

Well, Donald Driver is not 100% and I would rather have Randy Moss run the sideline route than James Jones. And yes I know Ted Thompson gives us 0.01% chance of signing him. Should we sign him?

Actually, he is still a Viking. The wavier list for Monday was released, and Moss was not on it. As of now, he has not been released.

AND, there is already a thread on this in the NFC North division section of "Around the NFL".
The NFL: Where Greg Jennings Happens.
