I see what you are saying Cheesey but I still think a lot of people like to see what they want to see in order to prove a point. For example, this is Favre's last 4 playoff games (2007 and 2009).
80/128, 953 Yards, 10 TDs, 4 INTs, QB Rating of 98.
I don't know, that's pretty good. He's not Mr. Playoffs and I would much rather have Tom Brady over Brett Favre for a playoff game any day of the week but those are not horrible numbers.
Plus Manning only has one Super Bowl. Even in the Super Bowl the Packers lost, these were Favre's numbers:
25/42 256 Yards 3 TDs 1 Int
Thats not bad either. I'm not saying he's perfect because that Rams game, the Giants OT, the Eagles OT, etc. are not shining moments but I think his whole playoff thing is bit of an overreaction on some people's part. I bet you a lot of people would kill to have those playoff numbers at 38-40 yards old.
I'm just saying that whole "he's doing nothing in the playoffs since the Super Bowl win" is a bit much. In that 2nd SuperBowl, he played well enough to win. Once again, people will try to twist my words, I am not saying he's Mr. Playoffs (that's why he will never be and should never be considered to be the greatest of all time) but he's not as bad as people make it out to be.
I just think part of it is that Packers fans are spoiled, multiple SuperBowls by the same QB is pretty rare - even one is rare, ask a Dolphins fan.
Also, it will recover because people have short memories. Did you ever think that Vick would be back in the NFL and not being boo'd, etc. He hung dogs from a tree and watched them die and then was in jail - sometimes I even forget that happened. At the height of that dog fighting coverage, did anyone honestly think Vick would ever be welcomed back by fans and the media?
