RedSoxExcel, if it's any news to you that Favre's head was not in that game, you definitely did not watch the game closely. He looked worn, depressed and even bored. He looked like he wanted to go home. If that was apparent even on TV, imagine what it must have looked like to the coach who works with him everyday and probably has his finger on the pulse of Favre's emotional state.

It's funny to hear the reports of Favre walking with "a noticeable limp." Since when has that kept him from playing? He played the whole fourth quarter with a limp last week. He plays better when he limps. It improves his concentration.

He did?

Thought he missed a few passes on final drive?

Or he caused the offside and then caused the guy to facemask Matthews to make it 1st and 30 isntead of 1st and 10 at the 20. Come on man, you have to be kidding me if you think he didn't play great on that last drive. They got down there, if Harvin gets a foot in. I understand the whole objectivity thing but I don't understand how you can say he didn't play great on that final drive. Every QB in the history of the game has missed passes.

Wow are you a douche?

Show me where I said he didnt play great or stop putting damn words in my mouth

I said he missed a few passes in response to someone saying

If the concentration (thats the key word) was so great he wouldnt have missed some passes

He played outstanding with everything considered on that final drive, but when it TRULY mattered the most he threw to high and far for Moss

Stop with the fucking generalizations on my every sentence

You were not there to see Favre during that halftime Redsox......so how can you say that? Mike McCarthy was THERE. I'm sure what he saw must have been something for him to blurt that out.
Seriously, i know you love Favre, but try to look at it with no agenda and see if what i said might make some sense.

Zero ( at least I think he said this as well)

Brett was going with his own stuff and not following MM plays during that game and the biggest one was the int at the end.

Wow

Isnt that what Chilly said this past game?

It's a pattern

I know there were always rumours that the pick in ot was a play Brett checked out of a run. I always wondered about that cause as a coach and teamate it would be frustrating. The problem is when Brett did this last year they were succeeding so Childress couldn't do anything about it. It has become clear Childress and Favre aren't excactly friends

Prior to the over time period, Brett was instructed to keep the play called in and not change a run to a pass under any circumstance. I have the source and a comment from Mike post somewhere in here that solidify that.

Brett would simply say "I'm on the field, you don't see what I see".

Yeah.....and we see what Brett sees, and that was a wide open Desmond Bishop last Sunday! Luckily, Brett's pass was right on target!!!

By the way, if this is true, Mike McCarthy should be fired immediately. This is one of the stupidest things I've ever read.

Your going to bench a guy at half-time for going 10-of-18 passing for 163 yards with a touchdown and a 104.6 passer rating -- and the Packers led the New York Giants 10-6? A guy that was a big reason for you going 13-3 and getting to the NFC Championship game, you'd bench him? WTF? So if he was any other QB, he would have benched a guy with those types of numbers and the lead? WTF?

If this is true, that explains why he didn't make anytime half time adjustments. Or any in the game period, he couldn't focus on Plaxico Burress/Al Harris because he was looking at Favre. That explains why right out of half, the Giants drove and took the lead - he had other thoughts at half.

What a joke, that's really what he was p'd off about at half-time of that game? If true, fire him immediately.

"RedSoxExcel" wrote:

Wait, are you serious? Fire a coach because he was actually worried about his starting QB not having his head in the game? If there's anything he should be fired for it's because he didn't have the balls to bench his QB because of who he is.

Also, last I checked halftime is about 20 minutes long. You really think he spent all that time venting about Favre?

I don't understand how your love for Favre can really cloud your judgment this much. Do you think coaches grow on trees? That we should abandon a coach and move to a whole new system and locker room atmosphere when were one of the youngest teams in the league? You're talking about firing a guy for venting about Favre during halftime of the NFC CHAMPIONSHIP GAME. Do you realize this?

I'm starting to think that maybe those picture texts Brett sent were meant for you.
