No way dude. Just for getting us out of the "God we suck" era alone, he gets a free pass from me. I grew up in the absolute worst time to be a Packers fan. All I ever knew was losing.

For me to dislike Favre, it would have to take something extreme like him joining an anti-Metal cult with Tipper Gore that does [strike]human[/strike] puppy sacrifices and practices [strike]cannibalism[/strike] vegan-ism.

What you did was just funny. What Trippster said was heartwarming. :rr:

But if I gave you a +1, Zero won't be 69'ing you any more.

Yeah, that's the visual we need to keep around. Of course, it is believable. Thanks Zombie. :thumbright:

By the same token, didn't Favre gloat about beating the Packers twice last year? You think that didn't give him great joy, beating Green Bay?
We KNOW it did. He admitted as much. Did that make him a poor sport?

As i said, i myself would NOT have boo'd him. I don't agree with it. But did I get great joy seeing "his" team get beat by the Packers? You better believe i did.
It's all a part of sports. I was brought up like Tripp was. Be graceful both in winning and losing. If you can't be a good sport, you shouldn't be there.
But the fans paid for their tickets, and have the right to do either.

Alan I dont know if he said it

but the reaction from the locker room after one of the wins was gloating

I've been to a couple full games, quite a few 4th quarters and there's always been tons of fans that stayed after the game was over.

Also, Brett gained a LOT from the City, State and organization. Let's not make this sound as if it's one way here, that's a little naive.

They all benefited from one another.

Even with that said, I still (as I said first) don't really agree with the booing of him leaving Lambeau Field. Before the game, during the game, of course. It's hard for me because I think the Vikings QB should be booed his ass off, but I don't think Brett Favre deserves it. However, he reveled in defeating us last year, both times more so than many other wins I've seen him in. That bothered me, but also since I don't know everything that happened. I thought, well, if you were wronged Brett, I'm happy for you. If not, I hope we beat your ass next year!

In my opinion, he got his, we got ours and I think we should have left it at that, meaning, booing was not really needed. I don't think he ever bad mouthed us Packers fans, in fact, he said we were the best fans, while wearing Jets and Vikings uniforms he's said that.

So he went to the rival team. Is he the first? of course not.

"Trippster" wrote:

Of course he wasn't the first player to go to a rival team, but can you think of another example that compares to this one? In other words, can you think of a player this prominent with this much history with one team who lobbied hard to join his arch-rival and ultimately succeeded? I can't think of any example from any sport that even comes close.

Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : sounds like Packers don't get good compensation, Jaire staying
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Nobody coming up with a keep, but at x amount
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Trade, cut or keep
dfosterf (16-Apr) : that from Jaire
dfosterf (16-Apr) : My guess is the Packers floated the concept of a reworked contract via his agent and agent got a f'
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : Yes, and that is why I think Rob worded it how he did. Rather than say "agent"
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Same laws apply. Agent must present such an offer to Jaire. Cannot accept or reject without presenting it
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : I'm thinking that is why Rob worded it how he did.
dfosterf (16-Apr) : The Packers can certainly still make the offer to the agent
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Laws of agency and definition of fiduciary responsibility
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Jaire is open to a reduced contract without Jaire's permission
dfosterf (16-Apr) : The agent would arguably violate the law if he were to tell the Packers
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : That someone ... likely the agent.
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : So, Jaire has not been offered nor rejected a pay reduction, but someone says he'd decline.
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : Demovksy says t was direct communication with someone familiar with Jaire’s line of thinking at that moment.
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : Demovsky just replied to me a bit ago. Jaire hasn't said it.
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Of course, that depends on the definition of "we"
dfosterf (16-Apr) : We have been told that they haven't because he wouldn't accept it. I submit we don't know that
dfosterf (16-Apr) : What is the downside in making a calculated reduced offer to Jaire?
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : Packers are receiving interest in Jaire Alexander but a trade is not imminent
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : Jalen Ramsey wants to be traded. He's never happy is he?

dfosterf (14-Apr) : Maybe send a crew of Angels to the Packers draft room on draft day.
Zero2Cool (14-Apr) : I am the Angel that gets visited.
dfosterf (14-Apr) : Visiting Angels has a pretty good reputation
Zero2Cool (14-Apr) : what
Martha Careful (14-Apr) : WINNING IT, not someone else losing it. The best victory though was re-uniting with his wife
Martha Careful (14-Apr) : The manner in which he won it was just amazing and wonderful. First blowing the lead then getting back, then blowing it. But ultimately
