I agree with Cheesey. He's a Viking, and Packer fans boo the Vikings.

The only thing that surprised me about the booing was that the fans would even bother to do it. I was very happy about the win, and if I was at the stadium I would've been celebrating and probably would not have bothered to boo Favre, even if I was the booing type, which I'm not.

I did not expect them to cheer him. But the booing seemed kind of aggressive, as if their anger at Favre was more important than the win. I thought, "Wow, these people are SERIOUS!" It was actually kind of funny in a way.

I just don't find trainwrecks entertaining. You and I obviously have very different definitions of entertainment.

You then my friend are the only male that I know at least who would have no interest watching an actual trainwreck :physassult:
No worries though NSD, we've had this discussion. Everyone has a different view of what's entertaining but I'll admit a part of my love for football will die when Farve leaves the game.

You're telling me you weren't worried in the slightest

Of course I was, and THAT'S what I found entertaining. Not "ZOMG, this is so cool, he might make an idiotic play and throw an interception!"

I want to watch players who are dominant and who create the drama of accomplishment, not who might disintegrate at any moment. I don't consider that dramatic; I consider it sloppy. It's Favre's skill and talent I find entertainment, not his abject lack of self-control in key situations; I just find that maddening.

If a quarterback throws a laser downfield and our safety reads it perfectly, jumps the route, and runs the interception back for a touchdown -- that's entertainment. If the quarterback drops back, blindly wings a duck downfield that never has a chance, and it falls gift-wrapped into our safety's hands, that's not entertaining to me. That's just annoying, sloppy football, even if the end result is the same. (Yes, I'll rejoice over the pick-6, and I might gloat over the QB's idiocy, but I won't find it "dramatic" or "entertaining," just groanworthy.)

The only thing I really found entertainment worthy last night was Chilly's presser and his interview on KFAN this morning. Worst officiated game ever, well I guess he hasn't been watching any Packer games this year.

Can Brett be done now, please. He has basically shredded any form of dignity he had left. He brought his embarrassing personal life into the public and is now being mocked on SNL. He is not entertaining anymore, he is just sad, and is a broken down old man who stayed to long at the party.

I appreciate the love some of you still have for the guy, but this all needs to end.

Come on NSD! You're telling me you weren't worried in the slightest that even given the INTs and the gimpy ankle, he was going to pull off the last minute drive to beat the Packers in Lambeau? And that didn't entertain you to watch him on that final drive?

It was an awesome game to watch, and part of it was because Favre is a trainwreck and caused the drama for that game to mean so much, but I agree, may be we just have different definitions of entertainment.

Admittedly, I was not shocked to see the pass to Harvin completed. I pretty much gave up at that moment. I said as much. Luckily, replays showed that he didn't come down in bounced, but nonetheless, you have to admire that grittiness about Favre.

As I said before, the cool moment will come when they retire his jersey. Based one what people have been saying, Favre cares about his legacy in Green Bay and wants to be accepted here after his playing days. When that day comes that they retire No. 4, I think there are going to be a lot of teary eyes in Lambeau.

With that said, had Favre pulled that one out for the Vikings, maybe things are different.

I think the tears Brett shed in the locker room allude to his caring for his legacy in Green Bay by the fans in Green Bay. I can't remember the exact quote, but Brett felt the fans would forgive and forget and understand. I think the boo's hit him hard, very hard. He is a Viking, he did jump for joy while his team beat us up and I'm hoping he understands fans were more so booing the Vikings QB, than they were booing Brett Favre. At least, I think that's the consensus.

Would Packers fans cheer for Aaron Kampman after he sacked Aaron Rodgers? Would they cheer for Ryan Longwell after kicking a game winning field goal? Somehow I doubt it. Why on earth should Brett Favre, who's being paid over $13 million this year to play for one of the Packers' bitterest rivals, receive some sort of special treatment from the fans?

I'm not saying he should receive special treatment. I just said in DEFEAT (not after throwing a TD), it would have been cool for the Packers fans to cheer him in his last Lambeau game as walked off. That's it, they don't have to, they arn't wrong for boo'ing, it just would have been a cool moment. Just like the Donovan McNabb thing, they didn't have to cheer him but for PHILLY fans to cheer someone in a Redskins jersey, it was cool (they once boo'd Santa Claus!). I don't think anyone is saying they wanted to watch him getting a standing O after a TD.

Also, I don't think I need to say it but there is a GIANT difference between Kampman or Longwell and Favre. That's life, in a perfect world, everyone is treated equally but we don't. Reggie White can got away with stuff that Vonnie Holliday wouldn't, etc.
