Brad Jones 🙂

Man... I'm with the people who would prefer draft picks. I do NOT want to give up a young quality WR like Jones for a 27 year old RB.

Brad Jones :)

Oh...I thought you meantr some other WR I've never heard of :)

I disagree with you, though. I think Zombo is starting to take off, so between the 2 Jones, I think Brad is far more expendable (whether or not either is actually on the trade block).

Zombie has said this in other threads and I agree. Once Driver steps down, I really believe he can be a 1,000 yard, borderline stud slot wr. My subjective opinion is that Brad doesn't have nearly as much upside at LB.

I don't think Williams age matters at all as far as the Packers are concerned. We are basically in Super Bowl mode and are trying to make a run. Our run will be much more difficult without a solid (doesn't have to be great) RB. Someone that would provide 3-4 years of solid production would be worth it. Who knows, in 3-4 years our Super Bowl window may be much more dim than it is today.

I'm not all about giving up multiple picks at all, but a 2nd and James Jones wouldn't hurt us as much as Williams would help us.

But once again, I don't see this happening. Lynch does seem much more probable and I'd be ok with that as well.

Williams is the only complete RB on their roster in my opinion. If they get rid of him it will be hard for the rest of the backs to fill the hole. Stewart is good but has availability issues. Goodson appears to be a good receiving threat

Hmmmm that got me thinking right there about what Patty stated, we are looking at a rb with good receiving skills and a good kick returner. Now we may be talking to the Panthers but could we be talking to them about Goodson and not Williams?

Just a thought
Just Imagine this for the next 6-9 years. What a ride it will be 🙂 (PS, Zero should charge for this)

NONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONO, and once more, please NO!

At BEST we could get 2-3 more good years out of Williams, vs. 7-8 out of Jones. Driver isn't getting any younger and Jones is the perfect possession/sterling sharpe-esque compliment to the speed of Jennings. Fumbles aside, Jones will be a great wr for this team for many years.

If the team can get Williams, just peachy, but rbs are cheap and relatively easy to find, it's just not worth the long-term loss of Jones.

+1.

Jones will learn to hold on to the ball and he'll be a pleasant surprise to everyone who doubted him. Gregorious runs sweat deeper routes. Jones will get us those tough yards we take Driver for granted getting. Jones can also go deep, something Jordy can't do.

EDIT: Whoops. Didn't see he meant Brad Jones.

No to that too. Brad Jones did fine last year filling in and he's good depth. RBs have short life spans. Decent LBs are more important. Unless it was someone like AP or Chris Johnson, then no.

I've wanted the Packers to go after Goodson since the pre-season. Now, I don't think he's a starter or pound the rock type of back, but I think he would thrive in our offense. I see him as a better Jackson, although I'm not sure how his blocking is.

I think we should trade all our draft choices for Beanie Wells and Larry Fitzgerald . . . oh . . . nevermind . . . I''m awake now.
Why is Jerry Kramer not in the Hall of Fame?

I hate rumors. They get your hopes up, usually for nothing.
I'd LOVE to see Williams here, but i think it's all B.S.
I hope i'm wrong.
