Your referring to the noun, whereas I am using the adjective. You should pay extra close attention to those italicized letters next to the word next time.

Please do not try to get into a pissing match with me when it comes to grammar. I am an insufferable grammar nerd. You will lose every single time.
You said, "Rodgers has appeared
to have peaked though this year."
The word "peaked" in the past perfect infinitive phrase "to have peaked" is not an adjective at all but rather the past participial form of the
verb "to peak."
And even you had been correct in your assertion that you'd used "peaked" as an adjective, the adjective still has precisely the same denotation as the verb. "Peaked" means "having or rising to a
peak."
So the point stands: if he's peaked, he's about to decline. If that's not what you were trying to say, use a different word. 😛
