It's ALWAYS hard for a parent to see their kids leave.
I had an expierience back in the late 1980's. And we only moved from southern Wisconsin to northern Wisconsin. About 3 1/2 hours from my Mom.
We would come down to visit her as often as we could. Well, one time, we had our visit, said our "goodbyes" and drove away. I got a block away from her house, and realized she had left her cigarette lighter in my car. I turned around and drove right back. When i got to the door, she was crying. She didn't want me to know how much it hurt her every time we left, so she would hold it back and let loose once we were out of sight.
I felt really small at that moment. I didn't know just how much it really bothered her.
So even though i'm not a parent, i got to see how hard it can be.
But you have to do what you have to do for your own kid's future.
It's not an easy decision.
