yes kevin - an attorney is a must! sorry to hear about the other baby mama but thrilled for you & keiana to be going to colorado!!! any court is gonna understand that you had to move right away - with or without the other stuff completely figured out. your attorney can go to any of the court stuff on your behalf so i'd think you'd be all good there.

i cannot tell you how happy i am for you & proud as well!!

Good to see things are moving along for you Kevin. A few more minor bumps in the road and hopefully it will be smooth sailing from here on out.

So, I spoke to my dad about it all today. He's not thrilled. He said selfishly he doesn't want me to go, but said "sometimes u have to do what u have to do".

I was expecting him to say he was proud of me making a tough decision, but one that benefits my career. He said it was kind of a rush and said he never expected me to leave Green Bay.

Kind of weird.

I'm sure he is proud of you but.... You are his son and he wants to keep you close. I dread the day my son wants to move away or the day I have to move away from him.

It's ALWAYS hard for a parent to see their kids leave.
I had an expierience back in the late 1980's. And we only moved from southern Wisconsin to northern Wisconsin. About 3 1/2 hours from my Mom.
We would come down to visit her as often as we could. Well, one time, we had our visit, said our "goodbyes" and drove away. I got a block away from her house, and realized she had left her cigarette lighter in my car. I turned around and drove right back. When i got to the door, she was crying. She didn't want me to know how much it hurt her every time we left, so she would hold it back and let loose once we were out of sight.
I felt really small at that moment. I didn't know just how much it really bothered her.
So even though i'm not a parent, i got to see how hard it can be.
But you have to do what you have to do for your own kid's future.
It's not an easy decision.

Well, spoke to my boss today about moving. He ironed out all my concerns. They are being very accommodating to me. I wasn't expecting that.

I'll be getting the paper work soon and am going to be looking for a place to live immediately. I won't live in a place that I can't have NFL Sunday Ticket though. 🙂

Mucky Tundra (30-Jan) : Now that's a thought, maybe they're looking at the college ranks? Maybe not head coaches but DC/assistant DCs with league experience?
beast (30-Jan) : College Coaches wouldn't want that publicly, as it would hurt recruiting and they might not get the job.
beast (30-Jan) : I thought they were supposed to publicly announce them, at least the NFL ones. Hafley was from college, so I believe different rules.
Mucky Tundra (30-Jan) : Who knows who they're interviewing? I mean, nobody knew about Hafley and then out of nowhere he was hired
beast (30-Jan) : I wonder what's taking so long with hiring a DL coach, 2 of the 3 known to interview have already been hired elsewhere.
Zero2Cool (27-Jan) : Packers coach Matt LaFleur hires Luke Getsy as senior assistant, extends Rich Bisaccia's deal

Zero2Cool (23-Jan) : Fake news. Cowboys say no
Zero2Cool (23-Jan) : Mystery candidate in the Cowboys head coaching search believed to be Packers ST Coordinator Rich Bisaccia.
beast (23-Jan) : Also why do both NYC teams have absolutely horrible OL for over a decade?
beast (23-Jan) : I wonder why the Jets always hire defensive coaches to be head coach
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Still HC positions available out there. I wonder if Hafley pops up for one
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Trent Baalke is out as the Jaguars GM.
dfosterf (22-Jan) : Jeff Hafley would have been a better choice, fortunately they don't know that. Someone will figure that out next off season
