Okay...so what makes you go "WTF?"

Here's mine for today:

Assigned a term project in September. Explained would culminate with a public presentation to the class. Among intermediate requirements -- students were supposed to file description of what they were doing presentation-wise in mid-March.

Said presentations start Tuesday. This morning I get an email (actually was sent last night) from someone in the class: "Do we need a final essay or just presentation?"
And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

When trying to quantify why, normally highly intellectual people, would choose to root for teams like the Bears, Vikings and Cubs.

It throws me for a loop every time I have envisaged upon the topic. 😉

A few weeks ago, I stayed in the office until just after 9pm completing 7 major changes for a application used nationwide by our company. My reward for my efforts? A email saying 'since you did so great on the last changes, we had a meeting earlier today and comprised these 13 changes, when can you have it ready?' ... really? Okay. Then I get our head salesman upstairs pounding me for a program to be used in four companies that use different systems, but wants my program to be plug an play for each. Mind you, I've never seen three of the plants systems. Oh and he needs this three weeks ago. We're adding a second fab line to kill a total of 5,000 cattle daily instead of 2,400 and my download manager program needs to accommodate this extra line and produce duplicate files with archiving for a month. blah blah ... to that I say WTF!!

Oh, the tasks don't bother me, it's the extra tasks and I'm at the same entry level salary I started more than two years ago. 🙂

Trying to understand how the emotions on Wall Street can swing from the overly excited false bravado to less than two weeks later the mind numbing panic that tanks the Dow.

You would think that people trading millions a month would have an overall better handle on their emotional composure.

Why retired people bother wasting what little "good time" they have left monitoring other people's forum time. Get busy old man. Don't you have some kind of denigrating North Dakota material to prepare?
