Zero's bio says Bulaga has long arms so they moved him to the outside. And yet I have seen a lot of places where they say he has shorts arms. Are they retractable or what?

either way, I love the pick. Anytime you get a potential top 10 pick drop to 23 you gotta take him.

Did you expect to go earlier? "I think it could have gone either way with this draft, with the run on tackles and some other things that happened in the draft. Did I expect to be in Green Bay, no I didn't really expect to be anywhere. But I was thrilled when I got the call from Green Bay, I'm an NFC North fan growing up in Illinois. So I was estatic to get the call."

Translate- "I grew up a Bears fan."

next paragraph-

Bears fan growing up? "I like the Bears year I'm from Northerm Illinois, but I think my allegiance has changed for sure now!"

Bulaga was hurt last season by an illness, thyroiditis, which sapped him of his energy for much of his senior season. He said the illness is definitely in the past.

Here's what Bulaga had to say about it at the scouting combine:

He was ill for part of the year but he is over it now.

"It's called Thyroiditis, it's a viral infection that lands in your thyroid, that causes your thyroid to overproduce that hormone. Which causes loss of stamina, fatigue, increased heartrate, all of the above. It was a three-week period. It hit me hard that Iowa State week, that was the first game I ended up sitting out. The effects of it kind of lingered on into the season, too - not being able to lift or work out or do anything those three weeks, it took me a while to get back into full game shape. That was kind of the disappointing part of it."

Thyroid issue is not worth worrying about guys, as an infection, it would be really rare for it to get reinfected if it was properly treated.

I absolutely can't believe we got him. Most of the time I made my mock drafts, he went #5 Chiefs, #9 Bills or at the latest #13 49ers. It was a miracle we got him.

The lowest I saw Bulaga going in Mock drafts was 14.

On various Big Boards he was between #5 and #15.

On the positive, Ted got good value.

On the negative, The kid just turned 21 last month. He is still developing and getting stronger. He may not look that good right away but in 2-3 years he will really be good.

He is a pick for the future not the now.

That worked out pretty well with Finley. Bulaga is really a luxury pick. He'll play behind Clifton and when Clifton tweaks something, we'll be able to bring him in.

We have a pretty solid team. No rookie drafted this year just gets a spot handed him.

Loving our o-line right now.

LT: Clifton, Bulaga
LG: Lang, Colledge
OC: Wells, Spitz, Dietrich-Smith
RG: Sitton, Barbre
RT: Tauscher, Giacomini

Lots of depth and good prospects for the future. MAn I'm excited for tomorrow. Ted wanted 4 starters out of this draft, he's got 1 already, IMO!

Finally a quality backup to Clifton. Lang can concentrate on backing up RT and RG with the interior of the line pretty much set.

Love your lineup, but can we just cut Babre and Giacomini now? Have Dietrich-Smith backup center and Spitz backing up both guard positions. Also trade Colledge's whiney ass for a safety. If you have 8 linemen that can play, and carry one on the practice squad, you should be able to get by.

I think three positions are set right now

Clifton - LT
open
open
Sitton - RG
Tausher - RT

Those other two are going to be a dog fight. Wells probably earned C from his play last year but Spitz should get an opportunity.

Whew, I was hoping we got Bulaga and thankfully he fell to us! Another Hawkeye in the green and gold!
