Da Bears are shopping him , and if they can't work out a trade he might be cut.

Methinks he might look good opposite Jenkins...

Way to small of a DE to be playing the system we do, Jolly has got to have 40-50 pounds on him also I could be wrong but don't think he has any experience as a 3-4 backer so no, ill pass.

Why post when you have nothing to say gbguy. This isn't 4chan...

Even if we ran a 4-3, which is what he is obviously a better fit in, I wouldn't want him. He's not what we need right now, and he's never been a really good player. He's started at DE for 6 years, but in his best season he's only had 7 sacks.

There is absolutely NOTHING to apologize for, from you anyhow. You were agreeing with someone and let it be known you agreed. That is perfectly acceptable by my book.

I do not want Alex Brown on our team.

No need to apologize, like Z said.

He is too small for DE, but he actually is built such that he could fit in as 3-4 OLB.

The problem is that he is 30 years old. You find yourself in a similar situation like last year: with an older vet that you are working on transitioning to the 3-4 ala Kampman.

If we are going to have to work on transitioning a player to 3-4 OLB, I'd rather it be a young player. In an ideal scenario we get a rookie that is already accustomed to playing 3-4 OLB, but if your going to use resources to work on transitioning a player, you want to see the fruits of your labour for a prolonged period of time.

I'd pass on Brown.

Glad that everyone in someway agrees haha. But in a more serious note, it looks like he will be looking for a similar contract as AK74 and Vanden Bosch, which even furthermore makes him much less desirable to us.

I don't hate Alex Brown. I think he's a good player.

He's just not a fit in our system.

Well good luck to him finding a job late august. Because if he thinks he is as good as those guys, he needs to face the facts. 6-year starter defensive end getting 7 sacks in his best year comparing himself to Kampman? Child please...
