Just thought I'd take a look at their past numbers, if 17 was their normally number or not....

In college K Carlson's number was #26, which is currently held by S Savage. I can't find a highschool number.

But more interesting is QB McGough # history and why he couldn't select those numbers.

College: #12 (unofficially retired Aaron Rodgers)
Seahawks: #5 (unofficially retired Paul Hornung)
Jaguars: #2 (????????)
Texans: #3 (Retired Tony Canadeo)
Seahawks: #10 (Jordan Love's number)
USFL Stallions: #2 (????????)


Hmm 🤔 why couldn't McGough wear #2?

K Mason Crosby wore the number from 2007 to 2022.

Three possibilities come to mind...
1) They're holding it in case Crosby comes back this year.

2) They're honoring Crosby and not letting anyone have it for the first year he's gone (also maybe in case #1 happens)

3) They're considering retiring #2 for Crosby?

​​​​​​According to this,  Crosby is the Packers leading scorer with 1,918 points, and a record of averaging 7.4 points per game. In second of both categories is Ryan Longwell with 1,054 points and tied with Paul Hornung with 7.3 points per game. Horning was 5th in points. Also Don Hudson was 3rd in points and 4th in points per game.


Could they be considering retiring Crosby's number?
