Looks like Ted Thompson and staff was not impressed with M. Jenkins performance at the combine(very dissapointing showing), thus this signing.

He keeps his mouth shut and plays to his potentioal it wil be added depth to the secondary.

Looks like Ted Thompson is leaning toward D-lineman or is looking to trade down in the draft.(Just MHO).

I still say give Aaron Rodgers one more weapon and draft Knowshon Moreno!!!!
Great 1 -2 punch with Grant and Moreno sharing the RB duties.

Well I still like jackson the best out of our RBs ... I really like the use of kuhn and hall tho; like MMs plays incorporating these guys.

Although if we lose kuhn hopefully well pick up nice TE/blocker then.

He will be better than Peprah. I am pretty sure he isn't that "fast" at all. In fact, I think he is actually pretty slow. 4.7 maybe?

lol, all anyone cares about is a young player saying something stupid(at least it was competitive) before a big game.

I'm more intrigued by this blurb on him: "He became known for his intense style of play and vicious tackles."

But please, lets go on about how he said something dumb.

I just rewatched our first chicago game in 08 and watched how we dominated them.

I noticed we only used 2 LBers most of that game and how we dominated their passing game (like they didnt even have one).

Getting a solid guy that can tackle is a nice addition.

Said Packers co-director of football operations Reggie McKenzie of S Anthony Smith, We liked him coming out and we liked him when he played [in Pittsburgh]. But he could lay a big old egg.

lol nice vote of confidence

Anthony Smith = Frank Walker

Well lets enjoy our one FA signing here for a bit he should be on the bench/ roster for the year.

Do you remember Charles Woodson at safety last year?

Did you like Charles Woodson at safety last year?

My guess is your answers are yes and no respectively. If that's the case then this is a good signing. GB needs to add depth. I agree that they need to add a starter and I think missed out on Canty and now Igor, but they need depth too and this signing alone makes sense when you look at the depth.

He's an upgrade over what GB has and frankly he's a better player than Frank Walker.

Walker was signed because he was a good gunner on special teams. Nothing wrong with that. Smith was signed to backup a position where GB has some injury prone players. Nothing wrong with that.

"Leave the man alone Dick LeBeau what's wrong with that!?"

pretty cocky, shouldn't start but good move depth wise

Ugh, what was he thinking? He had nothing but open grass in front of him, and he hops out of bounds without a player in sight?

I hope he's got that out of his system.

I'm thinking that this was a preseason game, because I'm not sure if he was a starter his rookie season. Just a very wild guess. Stilll ridiculous no matter what the situation...
