6 sacks in two games projects out to 48 on the season. The all time record is 22.5, and it took Favre to lay down for Strahan to get that.
I don't think Clay is gonna maintain this pace, but he's definitely got a shot at the record. Damn he's good.

I certainly think he has a good shot at that record, with how well the Packers defense is playing up front.

Amazing. He just torches OTs. I'm not sure what the Bills were thinking not getting any double team help for their blockers, but I'll take it.

I'm beginning to wonder if Matthews is surpassing Woodson as the best/most important player on our defense, and that's not a knock on Charles. That's just how good Matthews is.

+1 dude. I was thinking that myself today. If he demolishes the sack record, he gets DPOY. Man, how good is Capers compared to Bob Sanders!? Soooo refreshing to get some pressure on the QB.

The thing I really love about Matthews is that while he is a beast going after the passer, from what I have seen, he is also good dropping back into coverage.

It's way too early to be talking about the sack record. He still would need 17 sacks in the last 14 games which is by no means easy. Still, Matthews has been an absolute beast and he's going to get to know quite a few quarterbacks personally this year.
