Let me just say I dont think Thompson is going to go out there any get any big name even less so its a trouble makers whos know as much for his troubles off the field and lack of becoming a pro on it as Marshawn Lynch. But there are other rumors starting to pop up as well, which I think are fake but you never know.

The Packers have a good number of CBs but not RBs. The Cowboys have a good number of RBs but not CBs. The rumor is

A CB and a 4th round pick for RB Marion Barber.

What do you think?

If the Cowboys have scouts who have actually bothered to watch the Packers' CBs, I cannot imagine them accepting someone like a Bush or Lee for Barber.

Honestly, I'm not sure why the RB rumor mill concerning Green Bay is working in over-drive.

Warhawk stated something in another thread I totally agree with: while B-Jack may not be a RB with the same skill set as Grant, he probably allows the Packers to have greater options than they ever had with Grant starting.

Somewhere in his heart of hearts, I think MM is smiling at the chance to have B-Jack start. You can use Jackson like you did Grant - to run the ball - but now you also have Jackson as an added threat in the check-down department and someone who is an actual threat as a receiver out of the backfield.

McCarthy no doubt likes the added versatility that Jackson allows him. No doubt our depth at RB got hurt with Grant's injury, but we do not need a starting caliber RB to replace him.

Not sure Dallas would even talk to Green Bay during the season.

Fumbles aside, Tashard Choice is who I'd target from Dallas anyways. Though it doesn't seem likely Dallas would want to trade to a team that has every bit as good as chance as them at reaching the Super Bowl.

From what I seen I sure hope Jackson learns how to run between the tackles, because what I seen was he wanted to jump outside on everything. Running between the tackles is what will hurt the most from Grants loss.
Just Imagine this for the next 6-9 years. What a ride it will be 🙂 (PS, Zero should charge for this)

Definitely can't trade Woody or Tramon. Other than that, I'd say you could trade any of the CB's. I just hope it isn't Al Harris.

Would be nice to keep Shields around as well.

As others have said, it's hard to imagine which CB could be traded for Barber. Woodson is obviously out of the question. It would have to be either Harris or Williams, then, because none of the others are worth anything. And I sure wouldn't want to give up Harris or Williams.

Tramon Williams is on a one year contract. Right?

Only way I see that happening, would be if Barber fell out of favor with the staff and Tramon gave indications of wanting to leave Green Bay behind closed doors.

I'm against trading Woodson, Williams and Shields... Harris and Underwood are maybes depending on their health and what they're offering.
