I have no doubt the dude could be a solid player for us and ensure our elite run D status. Obviously, this all depends on his health. Regardless, I'm routing for him.

People say how bad his Seattle game was, and while I did see him falling over a few times, I also saw him holding his point of attack very well. Maybe I'm just too easy on the guy, but he looked decent for someone who is still trying to get adjusted to playing in the NFL.

I didn't think he looked that bad either, especially since he didn't practice all week, and probably barely even slept with his wife having an emergency c-section. A lot of people just want him to go away because they are frustrated with his lack of availability.

The question is not if this kid can play or not, it's more if he can stay healthy or not.

You can have the best player but if his injured for the 3/4 season what's the point.

I'm sure this guy can play if his healthy and can be a monster it's really a shame tho his body is giving up on him. Waste of talent ...

   Holy Long John Silvers, Batman! Green Bay writers wrote something positive about Justin Harrell, there much be evil mind control at work, behind this chaos, they much be stopped!

Seriously I happy Harrell is getting some good things said about him. I mean after the GB media calling him lazy for taking a knee and taking his helmet off (like the others have). Calling for him to be cut right away after he's been staying healthy and showed up well in preseason games, other than being knocked down some in one (but did other stuff well in that game) but possibly be thinking about his wife who could of been giving birth as she did a couple of days later.

If Harrell could stay healthy he locked up a shot on the roster as soon as it was known Jolly wasn't playing this season. And he's played pretty well just getting attacked because all of his injuries and his DL coach has good things to say about Harrell and he's work effort which is a lot more important the media opinion, IMO.

Wait.. so what he does it training camp and practice now counts?

Just last week.. it didn't matter.. as long as he played well in the game.

He got handled on Saturday.. you know the game day.

But now.. he won a couple of drill sessions.. and he has been legitimized because of practice.

Hmmmmm.. ;)

Seriously though.. since I am a Harrell hater, I hope the kid finally got his wake up call and becomes a player.

BTW.. us common people, whom go through the same thing don't get excuses after their child is born not to perform at work. With that.. I don't give him any excuses for his performance vs the Seachickens. But that just makes me a hater. 😉

Nope... it doesn't count, you misunderstanding what I'm saying. The GB media has been reporting every single thing Harrell has done that they didn't like. This is the first time I saw they have reported someone they did like. I'm happy for Harrell the GB media has finally written something good about him when there has been good all along about him this season they just refused to write about it. Not because he did good in practice.

He got handled on Saturday.. you know the game day.

According to the GB media he got handled. According to others Harrell got knocked down some and failed on some played but looked amazing on other plays but the GB media refused to talk about those. Harrell looked great on some plays and horrible on some other, but the GB media only write about the horrible ones...

That was sarcasm.. lol.

Seriously.. I want the kid to succeed.. but from what I hear this this is the first time the kid has stood out at camp.

Like I said.. maybe the light finally came on for the kid. I hope so.

I don't think the Green Bay media has been unfair to Harrell overall. I've read some positive comments about him. His work ethic has been called into question at times, but I can't recall any Green Bay journalist actually calling him lazy.

Let's face it, there just haven't been a lot of positives to report about Harrell. The writers have actually given him much more of a fair shake than most of the fans.

Mucky Tundra (8-Aug) : *had to be IRed at 53
Mucky Tundra (8-Aug) : beast, I thought the designate return from IR players had to be IR at cutdowns to 53, not before
beast (8-Aug) : It's a brand new rule, either last season or this season, prior, all pre-season IRs were done for the season
beast (8-Aug) : But the Packers would have to use one for their return from IR spots on him, when they cut down to 53.
beast (8-Aug) : I think the NFL recently changed the IR rules, so maybe the season might not be over for OL Glover.
Zero2Cool (8-Aug) : Packers star Howton, first NFLPA prez, dies at 95 😔
