Wait.. the Vikings didn't sell out their playoff game? Eh? Were you at that game? I was there and I can tell you that place was full (and officially sold out). And LOUD. Louder than any of the games I was at last season (when they were actually successful).
But hey.. keep slurping on that juice you guys suck on.
How many other fan-bases have a waiting list though? Because, every season ticket can be passed on to family/friend, correct?
I'm not asking to make a point here, asking because I really don't know. To my knowledge, other teams have the same thing, meaning season tickets can be passed on to whomever they chose. Yet, I don't think many other teams have a list as the Packers.

I don't know about the waiting lists anywhere else.. I only know of the Packers' waiting list. And only because fans toot about the 'greatness' of their fandom from that one trumpet. I honestly don't think the Packers org. allows the passing down of the tickets because of the list.. but that doesn't stop people from passing them down and just keeping them in their names.

Did the game really sell out, or did some company buy the unsold tickets to avoid a blackout? Hair splitting? Sure, but your "officially" illustrates my point. The Vikings struggle to sell out their games, without Favre, and Lambeau field could be sold out 6 times over, without Favre. That is why they are great fans, because it shows that they are not bandwagoners. Like Viking fans.
Last year the Vikings were selling season tickets with the guarantee of the same seats for the playoffs in '09. To try and get people to buy them. Offering special deals just to get their tickets sold.
