I think it is a teeter totter based on how Favre plays.

Favre plays poorly: Packer fans gett the better as Vikings get the worse. not only do we get to say "Na-Na we told you so" to Favre, but we can rub it in even more to Viking fans.

Favre plays well: it is better for the Vikings and worse for the Packers. this is because not only did we turn our nose at him in in the end, but he still had it in him. Especially if he takes them deep or all the way.

But there is a caveat. Let's say that the Vikings do well, no matter how well (even say they get to and win the Superbowl) We can always claim that it took a Packer Legend to get them to the promised land!

They would never be able to live it down.

I also think that to not be worried even if they get Brett, is a mistake. A big one. Make no mistake, Favre can play. Favre can win. Favre is a much better QB than either of their choices at the moment. He greatly improves a team that is, what Favre has, away from having all the pieces.

He will bring the "We can pull out a close game and I will lead you there" attitude they have not had since Fran Tarkenton. That nshould be good for 2-3 wins at least this next year.

LOTS of great posts here!
I'm torn though..........i think it all depends on how it turns out.
I'd hate to see him in purple, cause that would just plain suck.

If we whipped him, it would be the same feeling as spanking your kid. You hate to do it, but you have to teach him a lesson.
And if he beat the Packers, that would suck even more.

I keep wondering if this circus will EVER end?

If he succeeds, Viking fans get to laugh in the faces of Packer fans forever and say we won with your guy.

That's an insult to Packer fans.

To me, the worse insult is to turn it around and claim that the only reason they won one, after 4 defeats, is to be guided by a legendary Packer QB.

True Viking faithful are conflicted and would be retched in great pain for the Vikes to win the Superbowl with Favre at the helm.

Minnesota has never won a Super Bowl though. I would assume Viking fans would celebrate winning a big one with a player that they once hated even like Favre. I would think that getting the feeling that they've never experienced would be worth it and I sure wouldn't criticize Viking fans for feeling good even about Favre.

It's the same reason why I wanted the Packers to go trade for Randy Moss two years ago.

It's the same reason why Dallas fans cheered on Charles Haley when he left San Francisco for Dallas.

As far as I'm concerned, Favre playing for the Vikings and winning the Super Bowl gives them the right to talk a little trash.

I would say the Vikings are worst off. We have a young franchise QB and who do they have? Sage Rosenfels/TJack and possibly a 40 year old with a torn bicep? LMAO.

The poll needs a third option. I wanted to vote "other" representing the fans of the other 30 NFL teams, who have to suffer through all this garbage and BS Favre/Vikings/Packers talk during their nice peaceful Favreless offseason. For the sake of all others, Go away Brett!

I think the Vikings fans have it worse. True Vikings fans have grown to hate this guy and now he could be a potential starter? Not to mention, he is old and injured.
Imagine what the Vikings fans would go through IF Favre joined the team and they lost twice to the Packers and had a horrible season. That put my vote on the Vikings.
And now, they have to deal with all the off-season crap with the media....not just Pack fans.

Not to be a dick, but I don't give a damn about those fans. I'm asking about the two fans of the clubs that are directly involved. Therefore no the poll does not need a third option.

And it's every 32 teams that are pissed off and annoyed by it, not just the Packers and Vikings fans. 🙂

No problem, my post was more of a joke than anything but yeah' I'd say Packers fans. No Packers fans wants to see the great Brett Favre in gay ass Purple, at least the Jets wore some green and were also out of the division and even better, out of conference.
