Today we saw the Neurosurgeon and were given a much brighter forecast. He feels the tumor is 100% removable because it is far enough away from the spinal cord, and feels it will be one of the lower graded tumors. When he told us this, we had a tremendous relief come over, because after seeing the first doctor I was preparing for the long battle with chemotherapy.
By all means we are not out of the woods, but the Doctor had an arrogance about him that made me feel quite confindent. Thursday will be her MRI on the spine and Friday morning will be the surgery. You wouldn't be able to tell she's sick by looking at her, but she has a wonderful mother that knows when to insist on further medical care. We feel the early detection is going to be huge in this whole process.
